Ich war im Sept. 2023 zweimal innerhalb von 14 Tagen in Budapest! Zuerst im Budapester Zoo und dann bin ich 3 U-Bahnlinien abgefahren. Nach Budapest bin ich 1x mit dem RJ und mit der MAV gefahren, retour nur mit der MAV,weil lustiger und bequemer 😄

This Railjet also has a regular stop in my hometown of Salzburg. I take it 3-4 times a year between Salzburg and Bregenz to visit a friend. I also take Railjets from Salzburg to Munich visiting my family in Leipzig, Germany

How do I ensure I book a front facing seat cos i couldn't take reverse facing for long journey else i get giddiness. Thanks

Railjets seem to have always first class carriages closest to the Keleti station's main hall. So when you select the seat from the seating plan on OBB booking page, on the way to Vienna, the first class carriages are at the end of the train. And vice versa. Seating plan also shows the direction during the seat selection.

I will travel from Budapest to Vienna by train. I bought the tickets from the OBB app. I wonder if it is necessary to validate

Not necessary to validate. It is only necessary to "download" it by clicking on "Get ticket" in the app, then you select either On Mobile, PDF or Station pick up. After this, ticket become non-refundable if not already during the purchase, if I remember well.

@@Europe-By-Train Hello, I bought the ticket from the obb application. I had used trains in Italy before and I was very satisfied. In Italy, it was written on the platforms where the wagons would stop. I wonder if there is such a thing in Budapest. My wagon is wagon number 23. Is there a sign that shows where the platform is
