@Béla Bélus Kockás volt az első citromos beütéssel, és nem a pöttyös. Mivel a magyar asztalterítők is normál esetben piros fehér kockásak. Sajnos a kockás túró rudi eléggé ritka, de még lehet kapni. Valamint nem orosz másolat, hanem csak egy őrült improvizált ötlet révén lett sláger, mert desszertet kellett kitalálni az gyárba felügyelő orosz látogatóknak.

I'll be honest, if you mostly followed around guys like him, you missed out on a LOT and probably all the best things about food in Budapest. He basically only took you to low end places, probably kinda thinking that's "so eastern Europe, so Hungarian". Meanwhile the best thing about Bp. is getting really high class food at the fraction of the price you would in most of the western world in places like Mak bistro or Borkonyha, or the more sophisticated street food places, cafes and confectioneries. Sophisticated doesn't mean snobbery and high prices in this case, mostly just very high quality productions with carefully selected ingredients of the usual classics like langos, gulash and cakes

Such a great idea. We love talking food tours. The ruin bars looks so cool. Love the random collection of pieces all over the place and that sweet cottage cheese and chocolate looks interesting. WOuld have never paired those two together. Great video and loved how you captured the making of that strudel. Sour cherry and poppy seed sounds delicious. “Egeszsegedre” = “to your health”. Omit the letter “d” and it becomes a bit more formal as a well-wishing expression. You address a person you do not know in a formal way. Second person pronoun is“on” with umlauts or “maga”. ( plural version is”onok” - with umlaut!). I know this but I don’t often see it explained. I left Hungary at age 22 in 1957. It should qualify me as an unofficial “tutor”, I opine/guess/suppose/insist! Any questions? BTW, my full Hungarian name is ( in correct order ) Nagymihalyi Bela. LOL a little? But it’s true😋🇱🇺

És nem tartom elképzelhetetlennek, hogy direkt fél/negyed adagok vannak előre leegyeztetve, mert ha teljes adagot kapnának az ételtúrán résztvevők, akkor a második-harmadik helyen már kóstolni sem tudnának, mert nem mindenki olyan nagy étkű, hogy ennyi helyen teljes adagokat végigegyen egyhuzamban.
