I thought I missed the prices but that was mentioned in the end of the video. I did the resort thing when visiting and that was too expensive. So after the first visit I rented a room in a lodging house. Then I realized that houses were even cheaper and mot of the time better. The lodging house was 18,000 pesos. Now, I have found houses that are renting for 5,000 a month which includes electricity. I will have to warn them that I like air-con. So I will pay the extra on the electric bill. P.S. Thanks for the informative video. Even though i am married to a Filipina, I always watch how I'm being charged. Because the local people assume that you are rich and can afford anything they throw at you. Keep those videos coming. You don't ramble so it's interesting, the height of the house, the size of the bed, the rent amount, electricity. Those things are mentionable. Thanks again Bud. Know of any good deals on hotels in Cebu for December? I stayed at the Richmond last year on my way to Leyte. Want hot water, air-con and restaurants near by like the BBQ at Larsian. It is a huge place where BBQ is sold 24/7. Thanks in advance. Les.....

That's the way to go. My wife and I are natives of Dumaguete. We were born there, grew up, studied and lived there for 25 years. We are now base in California. We love to travel and have been to 35 counties so far. Our plan is to travel and stay in one place for maybe 6 months at a time, rent a furnished house or apartment. Basically we might just bring some clothes and then just keep on moving. Philippines has lot to offer and we still have to explore many places there It would be nice to just travel all over that country. Your dollars go a long way to get a comfortable lifestyle there.

Great place. I agree with your wife, some plants some pics on the walls and you will have a real nice living space. Big, wonderful to have the dirty kitchen for the hot weather. I cooked on the balcony. My goodness a toaster oven can heat a condo up! An excellent find at a most reasonable price.

Your place looks really comfortable and very good value for a monthly payment of only 10,000 peso. Although in your video you did say you had to put up $10,000 to move in. I'm sure that was a minor slip, which was an amusing comment nevertheless!! I enjoyed your video - thanks for posting it!

Nice place. How long does it take you to go to downtown Dumaguete? This is the kind of place that I would like. The only thing that I would add is a backyard for a small garden. Do you think that such a place would be much more expensive. I am thinking of moving to Dumaguete in a litle bit over one year as I will stop working in one year. Richard

Hello. I am so glad that ,again ,you started to post videos from the Philippines. Several years ago, I began learning Tagalog through your videos. At the moment I am not living in the Philippines but my wife and I go there quite often. It is interesting to see that the house you are now living in , resembles , in a certain way my wife's house. Her house has 4 bedroom but the rest seems so familiar. I would like to know, if it were possible How much is the rent for a house similar like yours? There are question is this. Some years ago, I paid to a subscription of yours, and you send me the username and the password. are they still valid? Anyway. Thank you once again for your instructional videos. And please add a little bit more about the Cebuano or Visaya. Cheers Felix
@Listadepeliculas10 жыл бұрын
***** Thank you very much for answering so quickly. Regarding the subscription , that is fine. I used it a lot I did not have any problems whatsoever. My wife speaks Visaya. So it is like learning two different languages. Magandang Umaga and Maayong Buntag. That it would not be so bad but what it causes me a lot of trouble,it is the Grammar. It is so different from lets say English grammar, Spanish grammar, Italian grammar. anyway looking forward to see your new vids. maraming salamat

Your area sounds nice and yes I agree if you are going to live some where you got to mix with the locals. I stopped my many Cambodian houses for a chat, a meal or a drink. Had many friends. I would be coming solo with no commitments to a woman, do you think the locals would rent to me? Thanks have been watching your videos, make me home sick for Asia. Take care. If you don't mind I will keep in touch, if I make it to Dumaguette I would like to meet. Take care Barry

Hello Bud I'm getting thing organized here in the states but am planning on moving to the Dumaguete area and what you have would be perfect for me. question can you put a aircon in the front living room? Also was wondering what the average temp was there, I know what they say that average is for PH but also know that it can change depending on if you are in the city with all the concrete or if you are in the country aka boonies lol personally I am thinking the city but am going to spend like 2-3 months in both to see which I like better, oh and how dependable is your internet ? Well thanks for listening and hopefully answering with your opinions and great videos :)
