Incredible camera and hound work. You guys really know your stuff and this area. All this action and within a few hundred yards of your truck! My compliments and thanks for bringing back many fine old memories.

I've got a 4 year old male that I've only ever hunted cottontail with him. Thinking about taking him to northern Wisconsin for snowshoes this year. How big of a run will a hare make? Just wondering what to expect.

It all depends on the time of year, snow and weather conditions, what kind of pressure your dog can put on them. Have seen them run smaller circles then a cottontail and as big as a mile.

Do you ever shoot the hare to give the dogs to chew on?

Maybe shoot 1 a year, the catch and eat a few when running is really good in the spring. Got video's of it on youtube somewhere.

@@buddenny ohh alrighty, just wondering if one was enough for the year. I really just enjoy running them more than shooting them. Why is the running better in the spring? Because of the mating season?

@@bootyhuntersxc Centing conditions are better just better in the spring where I live.
