When the pandemic makes us feel powerless, remember the power of Buddhist prayer. It can be an antidote to that feeling.

I would do whatever feels natural. I set the goal before I start chanting and I find that it might come up while I am chanting. If I notice I am focusing on the problem rather than the solution, I shift to the solution. People get benefit just being themselves.

Just started a deep devotion to Nichiren chanting and Buddhism in general. I had only known about the popular idea of mindful budha sitting quietly. But this has completely changed my life In ways that nothing else has. It’s not even about wealth or materialism but the state of what is going on inside. I’ve been doing this devoutly for a little over a month i do wonder how it will be years down the road. I love using drums in my daimoku . Kind of helps me me feel Like I’m in a ceremony in the air .

Faith develops as we achieve results from chanting. Pick a goal that would be a stretch and plan to chant for it for 90 days. This is a prove-it-to-yourself-practice. You might be interested in my book Your Path to Unshakeable Happiness. You can get it on my website, www.margaretblaine.com or on Amazon.

Chanting Nam-myoho-renge- kyo connects you with the infinite mind that created the universe and does have the answers you are looking for. Just relax and listen to what comes up. You are so busy intellectualizing, that it's hard to hear.

Hi Margaret ❤️ I’ve watched most of your videos and have two questions: Do we think about the goal / feel the goal WHILE chanting - or set the goal before and focus on the chant. Can we hear how YOU chant? Could you give us a demonstration of one of your chanting sessions and talk us through each step explaining what you’re thinking / feeling? Thanks so much!!

Hello Margaret, thank you so much for sharing such amazing videos. I wanted to ask a question. I am going through Anxiety. My mind wanders a lot and rushed. I am taking medication and therapy. I have been practising over 13 years. But I am not able to concentrate while chanting. I think a lot and realise already 1 hr Daimoku is over. It’s not going in my life. I have been really trying hard to focus but not able to and enjoy the chanting. I am restless.. any suggestions/ guidance..

Hi Margaret, I am new to this faith. Your guidance is showing me glimpses of hope and victory. However, since I am living with clinical depression and anxiety, for the last 15 years, I find it challenging to gather absolute faith and resolve to win. Even though I chant, due to my depression ( it does feel like a disability many times) I am unable to experience a strong rush and conviction of 1000 wattage...Mostly I function at 200 Watttage.. Or is this my normal ? Can i still achieve results as long as I am consistent and committed ? P.S : I shared with you on another blog that I have joined this practice so that my brother gets healed of his kidney issue. Big Thanks, Waiting for your response.

You will absolutely achieve results. If you have a clinical depression, have you consulted a doctor? Medications can be helpful. I believe I did answer your question, although I can't remember with which video it was associated.

Margaret Blaine yes , I am on medication and on therapy too but sometimes, miss that overwhelming and victorious faith and confidence I see in those around me. But guess, like you mentioned, I can still chant and win , with my condition.
