One Buddhist idea that has helped me understand myself is the 5 Aggregates: form, feeling, perception, mental formations, consciousness. For example, I see a nice man (material form); I have a pleasant feeling (feelings); as I perceive him to belong to my category of pleasant forms (perceptions); I indulge all sorts of fantasies about this man (mental formations); all this enabled by consciousness of the initial form (consciousness). All this can happen so fast that before you know, you're acting on that initial consciousness of form. However, with mindfulness and time, you start to notice it happening. At first, this insight is after the fact, and you can even trace it back. With further time and practice, it becomes easier to see.

In turn, I've been rewarded (I am worth it). I am thankful. I am humble. I am not attached because there is no trying (it is my livelihood, yes). Suffering is the key. Buddha said that language was given to us by Heaven and contains many clues to wisdom. The word boring for instance. What does a drill do, it bores and when are minds are not entertained by such things as drugs, both legal and illegal, alcohol, eating, dieting, exercising, jogging, TV, Internet, Tweeting, sports, shopping, gambling, porno, sex, a hobby, reading, cooking, working, the list is endless, we say that we are bored. And that is what is happening, our consciousness begins to look inside and we are not used to that feeling and become uncomfortable. BORING. The great teaching Falun Dafa shows us how to dig deeper, where true wisdom is found.

Buddhists are not a class of people, they are people who practise the teachings of Lord Buddha. It does not matter what "religion" you are, as long as you practise dhamma (buddhist teachings) you are labelled Buddhist. And there's no need to proclaim you are Buddhist...hope I am right in explanation..

I got a real hard time in my life, which reflects in all negative impression to lead to the worst depression, hopeless and the worst case is that I visual and project negativity out, I met 99 percent people who are showing disgust and dispite towards me now for at least 9 years, the first year I had embodied Buddhism, stoic philosoph but after 5 years or less it was a big blow back, this year I found your channel and I feel stand corrected philosophy mindset sometimes needs to be relearned like a man who need to relearn to walk, to stand and live, which knowledge are eroded by wrong everyday movement and behaviours, thank you for your effort,dedication and tutorial best regards from Hong Kong , 🙏🙏🙏

All the so called religions of India (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Shikhism) have almost similar goal, I don't consider them as religions but more as a Philosophy. After the scienctific benifits of Meditation is found, they can even be called the science of mind control. I especially love the Yoga philosophy which focus at both body and mind.

What I heard, in the Indian "religions" god is only another tool for them to liberate themselves. God was there never ment as the ultimate destination like in the western religions. :D
@agnirelaxgaming3 жыл бұрын
@@domihase8148 Every Indian religion does not have concept of a God. Buddhism and Jainism does not have a God. They reject God. While Rajayoga philosophy barely mentions God and focuses on the suffering of humans and how to get liberated. Hathayoga focuses at curing physical ailments along with Ayurveda which is the traditional medicine of India and is 100 times better than western medicine and also without side effects.

Misery grows beauty. That's so true. I used to suffer from insomnia. Couldn't operate at school or work. Till I decided to do something about it. I exercise regularly and eat more healthy. Even cut off fast food, soda, & juices. If I didn't had insomnia, my life would definitely be different. But I like how I feel and where I am now.

Is funny how nearly every religion or life philosophy has in common the control/influence of consciousness on the mind and/or body. The first philosophical realization was literally the huge extent of our ignorance [Socrates : "One thing i know know it's that i know nothing"]. With that knowledge, peoples started to understand and the more they understand, the more they realize what they don't control and what they don't know. Knowledge is power.

Without disagreeing with this video's text, I think the interesting thing is that Buddhism is evolving into a world-wide philosophy, quite apart from the established religion it seems to be in large swaths of the Third World.
