You have no idea how much this helped this me helped through opiate and sedative withdrawal and the counselling I had during recovery. And now some years later a divorce. I am eternally grateful and I am re-starting vipassana meditation classes and getting my life back together and I am trying to at least live my life and self-improve loosely based on the noble path. I still wonder why Buddha initially refused to ordain nuns. Can someone explain?

Bcoz after ordaining females buddha saw that the life time of buddha sasana will be reduced in to half. So he refuced to do so.. but after considering Ven.Anandas 3 times requesting He saw a method to overcome the problem.. So he introduced few more rules for nuns then the nuns accepted them. So the bhikkuni sasana was established.
