My sister give me a DVD around 6 years ago with ajahn braum's teachings. I'm a 49 year old female truck driver from Minnesota who spends many hours every day by myself on the open road. His videos inspire me when I need inspiration, calms me when I need some inner peace, and overall helps me be a better person. 🙏❤️

Thank you, Bhante. Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu. You came up with a few new stories today, I enjoyed hearing them. I liked the one about Ajahn Chah telling the army draftee to train hard and become a good shot, so he could deliberately miss the other guy instead of accidentally hitting him.

Ajahn I don’t really know where my spiritual beliefs lie I love and connect to Christianity bhuddism ans parts of Aslam and daoisum So confusing wish I could find one definition to follow but after 63 years practising between all. Still a lost feeling as not being able to belong to one club so to speak but wish to thank you for your wisdom in sharing in your talks have been listening for 15 years now . And it has helped through good and hard times .I grew up in London Kilburn NW6 and so get your sense of humour which I love thank you sadu sadu much love and light x x

Hi Debbie, if I may reply. I think all these beliefs are all different words/fingers pointing at the same truth. I doesn't really matter in the end how you get there as long as you keep on walking if that is your desire. I'd say follow your gut and visit all the good of any believe, get inspired and learn your inner truth. That is where it is at. And then you'll find you have 'belonged' all the time already.

I do get it with all the bliss and joy you get out meditation. But what about when the testosterone and hormones kick in? It is not possible not to feel the urge. It is a biological need. How do monks deal with it? From what i researched, even masturbation is prohibited.

When you practice samatha meditation the sensory desires go down and with vipassana meditation you can fully cease them forever.....

@Electro-nz2nd The desire may be. The accumulated testosterone which your own body produces, no.
