Yuju did the split at the beginning of the choreo that's why she had the knee protection. Gfriend's main vocal is doing all that. LOL. But there was some serious stuff that happened during their Me Gustas Tu performance where Yuju slipped on stage 5x and injured her thumb in the process but she still continue on as if nothing happened. You should watch it, too, the fancam. She's so amazing.

I totally agree, Yuju is one of the best female main vocalist in the industry at the moment (in my view). Yuju's knee brace was to protect her knee when she does that split slide underneath Umji in the beginning. It also a stylistic choice since they always match that band to the outfit color. Fun fact, this was the song that helped them blow up. There is a viral fancam of this performance where they performed on a slippery stage and the girls slipped/fell about 8 times (mostly Yuju) and instead of stopping, they jumped right back up and kept going. That blew up and caused the song to rise back up on the charts and was one of the longest charting songs in 2015. The girls and their company took that 15 seconds of fame and ran with it, came back a few months later with "Rough" which became a mega hit and that set off Gfriend's career. I think the girls said it best about the situation, they didn't become big because they fell, they became big because they kept getting back up.

The leg brace for yuju was from her sliding underneath umji while yerin vaulted above her. They were okay! She just did the splits everytime they performed so it was mainly for her safety 😊

a little guide for the next reaction. if you react to "rough", i think you should pay a very close attention to its melodies. its sooo melodious and in my opinion has the best melodies in gfriend's discography. thats why its the most successful gfriend's song in their career. a lot of people even consider it as a classic. its a high quality song. the musicality is no joke. no worries for disappointment because the high notes are there but i think the high notes are not the main focus there youve been a good pair of reactors. you pay attention to the musicality and high notes more than anything else. and i hope you see some other details in "rough" too because its a kind of song that gives you satisfaction or nostalgia when listening to it im sure you will enjoy it as you did "sunrise". "sunrise" also has beautiful melodies. cheers x)

Despite being came in a small label/ entertainment they still catch up to those girl group from big 3 entertainment. *Fun fact:* This MV is the one the members of GFRIEND dislike the most, because they think they came out weird as well as recording the video was really hard (due to the heat, dancing uphill, etc). Also, because at that time they didn't have enough money for a proper set, (as you may have noticed) they filmed mainly at Olympic Park, convenience stores, and even Umji's grandmother's house.

Just a little info about mgt... In one of the interview of ceo so sung jin, their first comeback me gustas tu supposed to be their last cb if it doesn't become a hit but the first few days it already topped some of major korean charts and at september where a video of them falling 8 times in a slippery stage and not well weather condition, mgt becomes one of the longest song in melon top 100 beating bigbang after the chart system was change. They were broadcast on national tv for being professionals and even international tv praised them for that. Yuju fall five times and broke her fingers while SinB fall two times but that doesn't stop them to finished the song and dance. Me Gustas Tu became koreas national anthem (that's a pun) . It was even blasted at the borders of North Korea. Mgt became the first that hit 100m streamers thus makes GFRIEND the first ever to have 100m streamers after chart system change. Followed by Rough who got the first PERFECT ALL TIME KILL ON KOREAN CHARTS (62hrs of paks) of ggs in 3rd gen and also got their second 100m streamers thus makes them the first gg DOUBLE 100M STREAMERS. They also won 29 wins in a year (2016) with Rough (15) and Navillera (14) breaking the record of snsd. GFRIEND also won 4 rookie awards (and almost all kill) if mnet wasn't being a snake on them as always. And after that achievements they got in 2 yrs, the industry seems blocking them from wining any awards. They got invited less and less on year end award shows after years. It just they aren't ready for a small company girl group with no sunbaes, no company brand to get what they truly deserved. But i know, i always believe that one day, GFRIEND will get all their deserving awards and no one can stop them.
