Buddy looks like a great guy, I don't know if there is anything in it for him to promote Sullivan like that, but he sure is doing a great job boosting his confidence, teaching him and selling him to the world.

Saw Buddy Guy in Mumbai a few years ago. I was too stoned to get an autograph on my guitar. Still regret it. Legend.

How can Buddy Guy be that good for his age. Honestly i don't think amyone has kept their playing that spectacular as long as buddy guy has. It is even more mind boggling that he is still able to do all these tricks with such ease and be so chill at his age.

He has proven himself. He not only knows what he can do, he has shown it. He has ascended to the level that he can help 2 generations after him succeed.

+B-rad The King , a fast geetar player can slow down, a slow geetar player can't speed up. He's young, it will come with the years.

+B-rad The King That's true. He's technically probably better than Buddy, but Buddy is the better guitarist by miles. Of course you can't compare a legend to a young man who's just making his way. If he adds more feeling and soul to his playing and more showmanship, anger and passion to his performance he could be great.

Just saw Buddy play "live" in Ithaca, N.Y. 6/2015. If Quinn is still "gettin' it", Buddy "still has it"!!!

All the salty haters in the comments. The kid was like 12 or 13 during this performance, get off his nuts. Maturity comes with time.

When he learns what notes to play he might be good. For now he seems to be content to just play all of them.

Interesting that BG took these young white kids Quinn Sullivan and Johnny Lang under his wing and brought them all around the world to perform. If not for BG no one would even know who Quinn Sullivan is. I don't understand why he's never done the same for guys like Gary Clarke jr

MrPernell27 Gary Clark, Jr. made his way with the help of Clifford Antone and Jimmie Vaughan. By the time he was 17, the mayor of Austin, Texas declared May 3rd, 2001 as Gary Clark, Jr. Day. So really, GCJ never needed Buddy to get him anywhere...

Maybe his world doesn't revolve around the color of his skin. Take notes.

Tim S I live in Austin and I never said GCJR needed BG to get anywhere. However it certainly would have helped

I love BG but I'm not really taken with Quinn Sullivan...nothing subtle about his playing and I think that was the worst rendition of VooDoo Child that I ever heard.

+SuperEraser007 , what young players do, and what they should do. Bonamassa was wild in his early days, slowing down now. And Buddy Guy himself sure stepped on it back in the days.
