Too many times people are quick to judge whether a fight is stopped too quick, but trainers/refs have a vantage point that we can't see and obviously tonight McGirt saw that his fighter wasn't good to continue. And it's good he made that call because if Dadashev saw that 12th round, it's very possible we'd be looking at something worse than we're seeing right now with him.

I didn't see this fight and can't comment on when he should have been pulled out. However, medical attention looked poor with no oxygen or stretcher ready at the ring. Compare with the fight in England where the towel stunned the crowd but fighter got oxygen then stretcher from ring. Early medical help is vital for safety. Hope he pulls through, and recovers. Reporter was shocking.

I just saw the fight a few minutes ago before Top Rank pulled the plug on copyright infringement. After the 9th round I felt it shoulda been stopped because he had no legs and was wobbling a few times, after he sat in the corner he just looked like he wasn’t right, like he wasn’t fully conscious. After the 10th it was even more evident of what I saw in the 9th so even thought Buddy did the right thing by stopping it the damage was really done in the 11th round.
