@@user-oh1sm9xe1myou're dumb. boxers/fighters train themselves to fight until they drop dead. It's up to the COACH to make the call and protect his fighter. This is how I know you dont box at all and never been in a war in your life. Dadashev was getting tagged viciously with numerous shots. You dont need to be "stunned" for it to stop. Dadashev was getting pounded every rough with sharp short shots with nointend to knockout but heavy fisted punches that leave damage over time. Learn how to box before you comment something stupid again.

If you're perfectly fine with the outcome of a sporting event being death then you really have some soul-searching to do within the confines of your own mind. Damn good call by Buddy. Too many times people are quick to judge whether a fight is stopped too quick, but trainers/refs have a vantage point that we can't see and obviously tonight McGirt saw that his fighter wasn't good to continue. And it's good he made that call because if Dadashev saw that 12th round, it's very possible we'd be looking at something worse than we're seeing right now with him.

They had to remove part of Dadashev's skull in a 2hour brain surgery. Obviously he won't be returning to the ring, and I pray he at least isn't left with a lasting disability. Good call by Buddy as he certainly saved this young man's life.

@@Kizdo69 agree, people need to shut up about what mcgirt should have done, been plenty of other fighters that visually got beat down worse and their corner and ref didnt do shit, most recent one I can remember is lopez vs magdelano. Mcgirt did what most wouldn't have done and stopped the fight instead of trying to get some moral "at least we went the distance" victory. Just unfortunate that it ended the way it did.

I didn't see this fight and can't comment on when he should have been pulled out. However, medical attention looked poor with no oxygen or stretcher ready at the ring. Compare with the fight in England where the towel stunned the crowd but fighter got oxygen then stretcher from ring. Early medical help is vital for safety. Hope he pulls through, and recovers. Reporter was shocking.

I just saw the fight a few minutes ago before Top Rank pulled the plug on copyright infringement. After the 9th round I felt it shoulda been stopped because he had no legs and was wobbling a few times, after he sat in the corner he just looked like he wasn’t right, like he wasn’t fully conscious. After the 10th it was even more evident of what I saw in the 9th so even thought Buddy did the right thing by stopping it the damage was really done in the 11th round.
