Budget 06 Lexus IS350 fuel pump upgrade.

The new fuel pump came with a harness already why couldn’t you just spliced the harness instead of ordering all the extra parts?

You could if you wanted to, but its not the best practice, especially considering the OEM pump wires are smaller. And when running a bigger pump those smaller wires can't carry the load the pump requires, causing the pump to drop pressure, so if I ever wanted to upgrade the fuel pumps relay & supply wire I'd have to go back in and replace that pumps wire harness anyway.

Could you have just plugged the old pins into the new connector?

Is this located in the Drivers or passenger side? Which one is the one that goes out “more” ??

Driver side. I'm honestly not sure which one has a higher failed rate. In my case this one failed and the engine driven high pressure pump was fine.
