For people who want 500-600$ builds you can do am4 it’s just there’s not super good upgrades like am5 am4 you can only go up to 7000 series with am5 you can do a 7800x3d or a 9000 series and even a 10000 series or whatever they call it it just makes sense to do am5 for new builds

You can easily do a 7700x/4060Ti build with all the other specs in this build by doing it yourself.

I dont think its worth it to pay am5 prices (mobo, cpu, ram) for just a 4060. Maybe am4 if youre going for 4060/7600. If youre adamant on am5, go atleast with the 4070 which is what I've done. I dont think youd lose a lot of performance with an am4 setup with a 4060 as opposed to an am5 combo with the 4060. And with the savings, you could get a better gpu. Now thats real "future proofing". I just think the 4060 holds this all back, my 2c.
