Excellent review!!! Thanks for noting the slight harshness these pedals can introduce. I'm REALLY GLAD you pointed out the EQ system in helping reduce that little brittle, raspiness!!!!! The Surh lead sounded great as did the FULL RECORDING. Many thanks, this was very helpful!!!!!!!!

when you panned the sounds at 4:45 and 4:55, are they panned by the Donner at the same time (ie, its modelling2 presets at once) or did you pan them after recording each separately?
@alexoi876 ай бұрын
Can this unit do a stereo dry/wet set up? So out of the left output do a dry and out of the right do a wet 100% I can see it does that via the USB audio but wasn’t sure about physical outputs. Thank you

I don’t have it in front of me but I don’t believe so. Budget devices like that generally don’t have very flexible signal routing.

Great video. Can I loop chords and use the built in drum machine and adjust the volume of each individually? And then can I store what I just created (combining both of them) into the memory for later use?
@LonelyRocker Жыл бұрын
Thanks!! That's a really good question. I didn't get too deep into the looper becauseI really had no use for it myself.

SO WHAT PROGRAM/SOFTWARE ARE YOU USING TO RECORD AND LOOP THE DRUMS & RYTHYM TRACKS TO PLAY ON TOP OF? SORRY FOR ALL THE CAPS, IM BEING LAZY LOL. MANY MOONS AGO I HAD A DIGITECH GNX-3 THAT WAS AN 8 TRACK RECORDER AND DRUM MACHINE ALL IN 1 UNIT. IM TAKING IT THIS DOES NOT DO THE SAME AND YOU MUST USE SOFTWARE SUCH AS "CAKEWALK", JUST AN EXAPLE, BUT THIS UNIT MUST INTERFACE WITH A LAPTOP IN ORDER TO RECORD AND OVERLAY TRACKS TO PLAY ON WITH DRUMS INCLUDED IN THERE?
@LonelyRocker Жыл бұрын
I use Logic Pro. Any DAW will do as this can work as a general interface for any Mac or PC.

Can you charge presets from the win/mac app? Like downloading them in by other people on the internet and add them to your own patch lists?

I just bought one and I am happy with the sound but a problem has arisen and that is that the sound goes out for no reason and I can only get it back by turning it off and on again. Has it happened to anyone? I plan to return it (it's still in the trial period) and order another one to see how it goes...

What software could you use to record with on a Mac? GarageBand? Or?
@LonelyRocker11 ай бұрын
GarageBand is a free option. Logic is unique to Mac and it’s awesome. Almost all DAWs have a Mac version. Lots of choices.

How many reverbs can you run at once? And the FX block be used as a second reverb?
@LonelyRocker6 ай бұрын
Hmmm...I believe it's just one. The fX blocks are predefined with drive and modulation effects. No extra reverbs.

Nice review and demo ... thx. Any thoughts on the Arena 2000 vs NUX MG 30 ? Many similarities but looks like the Donner has XLR outs and MIDI connectivity which I don't see on the NUX ... wondering about ease of use, flexibility, sound tweakability, build quality. Anyone with experience on both?
@LonelyRocker Жыл бұрын
Thnx! I’ve never tried any Nux products but I’ve had people ask me. If I ever get my hands on one I’ll give it a go!
