Not gonna lie I wasn't sure if I was gonna like the shape of that when I seen you start the cut but it does look really good on that bike, nice work dude🤙
@gefrinjim68034 жыл бұрын
Did my XV1100 yesterday. I fitted a second hand fender ( just in case lol ) Most 'difficult' part was getting the line right. Half a roll of masking tape and lots of sitting back looking at it I made the cut. Very happy with the result. Good to see you showed cleaning up the edges and protecting with paint too.

That is a $29 grinder from super cheap auto or Bunnings! Don't think you've gotta have the best bro I've done all my bikes with hand tools! The worst that happens is you screw up and have a second go shorter or you go to the wreakers to buy another guard! Everything can be fixed man! 👍👍👍👍👍
@mikelowry94355 жыл бұрын
@@iRidetas yeah that's super cheap, I can def swing that. I'm not so worried about the tools as much as I am about the cutting line on the fender. I think I'll have a tough time with that cut and making it even.

iRidetas just another tip. Use a heat gun or hair dryer like he said but then use really strong fishing line and run it behind the badges. They'll cut right off there without marking the paint at all. It's a trick my dad showed me years ago and it's never failed.
