Yes, smell can change after tasting. A large part of taste is aroma. The back of the nasal passage might not get anything until you’ve tasted the drink.

Low cost bottled-in-bond is truly the "Jack of all trades but sometimes better then the master of one" bourbon available to us today! They can be interesting on their own neat, on ice or mixed. If you don't have at least one low cost bonded bourbon on your shelf, you're doing it wrong and you're missing out! It really stings when a $30 bottle of 100 proof bonded bourbon knocks your socks off more than that unicorn you chased after for the better part of two years! 🤣
