I get better after effects from the 100 proof than the 114 Old Grand-Dads, for an unknown reason. Maybe because the bonded is made in Clermont and the 114 is made in Frankfort and Clermont, Kentucky.

Im sipping the Storyteller batch from April of last year. Only Booker's I've had, and it's penomenal. I think JB Beam puts out my favorite stuff out there.

This is a great series. There's some "budget" whisky out there which in my judgment are better - significantly better in some cases - than the expensive and/or allocated stuff. 3:36 Preach! I almost never say that something is bad. I'll say I don't like something, but one of my favorite phrases is "in my judgment," because evaluating whisky is so subjective that *ALWAYS* YMMV. I love OGD 114. The Bonded is good too, but the extra 14 proof points make the 114 even better. Y'all are getting 114 for less than I pay - it's like $32 here - but it's worth IMO up to $40. 10:28 OGD is fruity on my palate. It makes me think of a barley whisky (I'm drinking Jameson right now, and my previous glass was Laphroaig, and they're both fruity whiskies, as is Glenlivet, which I also like). The giveaway link is still leading to the avoided mistakes video, which makes me sad, because I would love to have a chance at this one.

The first, and only time, I picked up OGD 114 I was surprised how quickly I went through. Now I’m surprised I haven’t yet picked up another. For me, it’s up there with Benchmark FP for budget bourbons. Great video!

Love the Jim beam products! Really enjoy both the bonded and 114 old grand dads. The 114 consistently wins or places high in blinds for me against some 40-60 dollar offerings!

OGD BiB and 114 definitely fit into, if not lead the “Budget Banger” category. And the OGD 80 proof is poor man’s Basil Hayden. Can’t go wrong with OGD.

Have heard so many good things...just haven't gotten one just yet...will try to sneak one into house (wife thinks anything over 18 bottles is too many...have 60+...just starting)! I cut my teeth on Jim Beam White, is the one that my brother introduced me to bourbon. Have appreciated several of the other products...Knob Creek (rye and bourbon); Basil Hayden; Bookers; and various Jim Beam offerings (Black; Black 7; Double Oaked; Red Stag - Cherry; Devil's Cut; etc.). While not all were awesome...all offered some very unique tasting notes. Black 7 and Knob Creek will always be in the cabinet! Again...thanks for keeping it Real!

I know this is really popular but when I tried the OGD 100 I did not like it. But I do like it mixed with diet ginger ale so if I feel like a diet ginger ale and whiskey this is what I go to. Well I will until the bottle runs out. Thanks for another great video

I know so many people that love this one. It tastes like Hubba Bubba bubblegum to me. Hard to drink it neat. Can you think of a mixer or cocktail that would work with it? Hard to hate a bottom shelfer at 114 proof so looking for options.

The media source that had two Beam employees off the record stating it was being discontinued turned out to have bad sources. This rumor has popped up every couple of years, so I wonder it isn't something beam is doing on purpose.
