We here in the states love our WD21 Platform. The Pathfinder for us and the Terrano for everyone else. If you don't keep the project that Clineometer fetches a decent penny. As far as I know the Terrano II shares everthing mechanical with the Terrano just the bodies are different. Rooting for you girls to win this. Watched 3/4 of the groups and you have it down what budget building is really about.

I had one just like this, except in the USA it is a Pathfinder. With a V-6 gas engine and a 5 speed trans. After driving it hard for a few years, the timing chains broke and did a lot of damage to the heads/valves. It was very capable off road and was a lot of fun.

Nice to see some WD21 action in Aus, I’ve been playing with the platform last 2-3 years now. Carry steering spares if you’re going to wheel it hard, stock setup is atrocious lol.

The amount I put my D21 through before I swapped it for a GQ, and then it got run flat out for hours (with a brick) till Rodney popped out. Out on a property in the hunter. Those D21s are pretty hard to kill

That motor is TD27T, it was used in Nissan forklifts. But the TD42 was too.... in the bigger forklifts. Toyota 4Y and LC motors were too....

Just a piece of advice, nissan navara d21 steering bar reinforced with reinforced tuners and terrano terminals from the 555. It doesn't break anymore and it has a much better steering. It also lacks the reinforcement of the false hanger, otherwise the bar twists and they are without direction. Look for terrano but in Europe we do a lot of those. The TD27 is one of the best indestructible nissan engines. I already had a Tetrran 1 just like this one and now I have the Terran 2 always with this engine, and they are the best.

They're definitely imports, the locally sold versions were badged as Pathfinders and had different engines. Should be a fun challenge.

Out of all the budget builds the Terrano is most capable 4WD by are long shot considering its age It's understandable things like brakes and bushings and belts will need replacing that's just normal wear and tear items I myself have are R50 pathfinder with the VG33E engine on 33-inch tiers subframe drop 3 inch lift it's extremely capable and doesn't get the spot light its deservers like patrols and land cruiser do.
