Love it, piece of art. I'd recommend chucking a jerry can holder behind each guard in that empty space. Even if you have a water tank elsewhere, it's always nice to have room for more, or even more diesel. That, or a gas bottle to run the barbie.

Just watch it and was thinking exactly the same thing. Just need to think about weight behind the axle, don’t want to be too heavy at the rear.

Hi Paul! I actually do a lot of trailer fit outs at work so I’m very aware of the weight!! I was planning on doing 2x deep cycle battery’s and water storage up front! The box weights about the same as the peice I cut off! I’m hoping the weights will be bang on but I will be testing prior to taking it out!! I reckon you’re right too with the gas bottles!! Awesome build! Just an idea for a bit extra space, you could cut out the old inner guards and then sheet it off to the new guard. And also for the guard brace you could run some 50x50 rhs under the front of the tool box and then from the front corner of the tool box back to the outside of the guard. Keep up the videos love watching them 👌🏼

I've had one of these for a while now. I did the same front cut, except I extended mine 600mm and re welded the front back on. Some No5 trailer advice, you MUST have some tow ball weight, if the rear is heavier than the front, they become very troublesome to tow.
