as much as I love Willem's photos, I gotta give it to Taylor on this one. she explored that place and was rewarded by those beautiful scenery, She totally read (lowkey shaded. jk) Willem though coz what she said about what Willem would shoot was the exactly what he did. haha. ps. I liked Willem's van shot and the shot of the red trim on the door. Overall, Taylor's photos had a lot more visual interest in them. Standouts for her are the church door wide shot and the basketball goals through the fence.

When I saw the title and the cameras they used... I immediately thought they were doing this ironically. Like a skit. Including the ridiculous snapshots they took with everything dead center (except for the coastline & nature shots, those were nice to look at). Then I saw the comments and people actually saying how sick or amazing the images are. For a moment I thought everyone was just being sarcastic and having a laugh. But they are not. Not at all.

Great shots from both, but I personally preferred Taylor’s photos overall. I think the cliffs sealed the deal. I also really loved the shot through the chain link fence of the basketball hoops. Really cool framing.

Willem is great but its hard to compare him with anyone because his style/preference is more "fly on the wall" documentary style. Its more easy to mistake that as boring but i like the vibe his photos have, it gives the feeling of looking at a memory. Taylor did well too but i don't know her style well enough to say.

Dont see whats so special about these shots. They look like random pics in your iphone camera roll. Its really all about the film stock colors that actually make them look pleasing. You could photograph a toilet bowl and still have those “aesthetics” regardless

Thank you guys so much for putting these videos out! I am INFINITELY new to this whole photography thing, I just had a pinterest account that I saw a bunch of sweet looking photos on. One thing led to another and I was inspired to start taking my own photos! Bought a cheap disposable fuji from Walmart and plan to take some sweet pics during Christmas vacatio... What your content has communicated to me is: there's beauty literally EVERYWHERE, why not take a picture!? It'll last longer 😅 But seriously, it's made me think about slowing down and enjoying moments big and small, as well as seeing life as art and vice versa! Thank you guys. Keep it up!!!!

Think Willem's more consistent in quality and composition, but 1-2 from Taylor (like 4:48) are my favorites really ! And how do you both get so nice colors out of that budget film !!

If you use a good lab their scanning can definitely help,also the fact that their point and shoots have Zeiss lenses helps.

Forrest Griffin they called it budget film lel, not budget cameras. I think most of us know the camera hardly matters when it comes to film, especially when they’re focusing on the film stock, not the camera. A lot of point and shoots from the era of the T4 will give similar results... they never said you need an expensive camera. Either way.... i dont see why it would matter if they’re in their 20s OR using expensive cameras. Idk why people get so upset over young folk keeping a format alive and exploring photography. I seriously don’t see whats so bad about that...

Superia 400 was my go to film when shooting back in the day. Not enough love for it these days. Sadly it's not available in multipacks in the UK anymore. Fuji pulling away from film as they make their excellent digital cameras. Wouldn't be surprised if multipacks disappear in the near future in North America.

Does anyone know why some photos might come out VERY blurry and horrible while others come out -great- crisp with grain? Still confused on my T4 and how to use it. The flash is automatic and im not sure if I should change which flash option to use or if I should turn the flash off.... any help anymore lol
