It's easy to change modes on that. With the controller off hold the throttle off (which ever side that's on) and press and hold the button under it as you turn the controller on, presto mode changed. *Dance the Skies*

That sounds like the situation we have with RC tanks. Tamiya has a control system that lets you either drive the tanks and perform their functions with 2 sticks. Everyone has their own preference. some guys drive the tank with both sticks. I myself control all movements of the tank with one stick and have all the turret functions on the other stick. Rotation gun elevation and firing controls.

I guess the Mavic will be the standard by which all foldable drones will have to compete with. DJI did a beautiful job of cramming every piece of technology hardware & software that $1000 would buy. I could not resist being a part of a technology that exudes "fun". Whether it be actually flying it to charging the batteries to understanding all of the advanced settings and calibrations required to enjoy this hobby immensely. Even the troubleshooting to understanding 'forward sensor calibrations' and gimbal adjustments add tremendously to a hobby you have to come to grips with. So what comes after this? Huh, I can't wait to find out.

If you don't need the smaller package, a Phantom 3 Standard/SE is about the same price and has a much better camera/video feed. Plus ALL the functions work great with DJI Go and Litchi. 20 min flight time and good range. Very good value!

The WiFi is laggy because you connected your phone to the wrong signal. There is supposed to be two signals displayed: the drone and the controller. You connect to the CONTROLLER not the drone because the radio waves travel from the controller to the drone and back. Yes, it's weird that it has both radio and WiFi on the controller but with this, you should get over 1 km with this drone. One of the antennas is for WiFi and the other is for radio. Hopefully this helped.

To place it into Mode 2, hold the left stick all the way down and the Takeoff/Land button while powering the transmitter on. You can release the controls when the transmitter beeps. -Tech commentary follows. The main critical flaw with the Obtain is that its camera's recording bitrate is extremely low. Only 1.8Mbps. Even KZbin runs nearly 10x that, and is notorious for disrupting and losing detail in busy scenes. If they can patch the camera's firmware to allow you to increase the camera bitrate, this would be a much better aircraft, especially for the money.

James not only is it not actually 1080p it's very grainy and mis colored. Also has lines going through it. Not worth the price. Yeah KZbin is fine at 1080 but not for Professional Photographers as I am. I would buy a spark before I buy is. I fly a Phantom 4 SE and it yes is a lot more money but does exactly what I need it to do.

Not sure how you could review this blatant lookalike and NOT mention the Mavic, but then, I’m not a jealousy-driven troll. I would like to say though (and please take this in the spirit intended), I think you need to alter the format of your reviews slightly so you’re not ‘guessing’ what the footage looks like. Yeah the SD card holder is a bit different, but we got it with no issues. Just had to be careful the first time we installed it. Mode 1 to 2 actually switches over very easily, but we learned that after this video sadly :( Thanks!

Great Review & beautiful day! For me, I think I would rather put the $300 - $350 into something that actually functions like it should. I was turned off by the weird circle mode and the not quite 1080p resolution. Also, I was really put off by laggy FPV video. Seems like the engineers released this one before working out all the bugs, first. JP

It did not. We tried to do the waypoints, but it had an error pop up each time we attempted it (near the end of our video) The price is pretty fair compared to when we picked ours up :)

Funny that trying to make it look like a Mavic they even included the gold bands on the arms. I think the only impressive thing on this is the gimbal. It seemed to do a real nice job, and looks a bit less fragile than the Mavic gimbal. The camera quality is not good, the vertical purple line when looking toward the sun shows how crappy of a lens it has, probably plastic. That's part of the reason higher end drones, like the Mavic and Spark, cost more... higher quality cameras and lenses aren't cheap. It even kinda sounds like a Mavic, though the props look quite a bit wider than the Mavic has. WIFI FPV is really a buzz kill for me. Even the JJRC Santa Drone (music removed) w/ AIO FPV camera Mini Whoop ($35 total) I built yesterday is 5.8Ghz. I wonder if this drone would bind with a standard radio so you could fly in Mode 2. It did seem to fly quite well.

They really were trying hard to hit that classic Mavic look here. I love the gimbal, and it holds it's position well too. It's a real shame, because if they would have put a slightly nicer camera on here they could have charged a little more and it would have actually SOLD! That wifi FPV is throwing us for a bit of a loop. We've never seen anything "build up" a latency like that.. I mean we've seen things have a constant 1-2 second (unusable) delay, but never get worse as time goes by. Modes can be changed between Mode 1 and Mode 2: watch?v=eFDJPP9nJZM Also, you're supposed to connect your phone to the controller WiFi for longer range. You only connect to the drone's WiFi if you're using your phone to fly it via the app. When using the dual antenna transmitter, one antenna is the WiFi relay, the other connects to the quadcopter. The way you're connected, you're only going to get about 80m of range and signal strength will be poor. Either way...it's an overpriced drone for what it does and what it can do. The camera quality is very poor when compared to other less expensive drones.

I've seen a couple of reviews six months (or more) ago on the Obtain and think this must be an upgraded model of the same name as it looks pretty much the same but preforms 100% better. I know the original was not sold and long and was complete junk whereas this one is half way decent. Of course this still needs work but now looks more like software issues. Is there a mini usb port on this that looks like it could be used to upgrade it? Anyway great review and here's hoping they fix problems. For half the price I'd be interested if they do more improvements, the first go around was a complete joke. *Dance the Skies*

I know how to switch this from mode 1 to mode two (or vice versa) but have no idea what mode you are in If it helps to get to mode 2 from mode 1 you switch on the drone then hold the left stick down, press the take off button and hold and then switch on the controller To get to mode 1 from mode two you switch on the drone hold the right stick down press the picture/video change button and hold and switch on the tx. There my be variations for modes 3 and 4 Don't ask how I know this ...... :(

I think your controller is reverse, so just so go back on you set up and use mode 2 instead. Good luck.

We actually very easily switched it back to Mode 2 after this video ;) A lot of people commented with a video link from the manufacturer how to reset it. We didn't know it was in Mode 1 'till we went out to fly it ;)

As a Mavic owner why wouldn’t you just buy a used Mavic instead of spending $500+ on this. You can get used Mavics off Facebook marketplace starting at $250. Trust me. The Mavic is worth the money. I own several Phantoms and I must say hands down the Mavic is by far the best consumer drone they make. I like my Mavic more than my Inspire 2.0. The I2 is cool but as far as simplicity of flight you’ll like the Mavic.

I also own a Mavic, and would advice a person to save their money for one, however I try to look at this and other things for what they are on their own, and not just comparing to something like a Mavic. We are lucky enough to own one, but not all people are in our situation and might Only have a few hundred bucks to spend, so they are going to get something they can afford. For the price I would buy 4 bugs3 or a dji spark or a p3 that are so much more better. They have not yet fixed that quad. Still to many problems and chandler is still trying to work out the problems. I turned down the opportunity to review this one. They released it way to soon before they have fixed All the problems. The video and gimble still having issues. The other reviews everyone of my friends put up on KZbin had bad problems too.

The range is terrible The tech is available to do 2.6 miles The Camera is really clear on panning but that’s the software. They tweaked it to lag so it gives more clarity If it was not lag you would see the video would be really bad no doubt. It’s not $900 But it’s not coming close to a Mavic in any way except it’s appearance. That’s a bad combo You have to have something superior Where’s the sales point price ? Your way better off with a DJI phantom standard The video is fantastic. I think it’s better then the Mavic I shoot with. If they can build the Spark with a 28 min flight battery ? Why would anyone buy anything else ? I’m surprised China does not sell extended battery knock offs . Will be a long long time before anyone copies a Mavic pro. And it would have to be less money and equal quality. The engineers at DJI must love watching with beer these mimic drones. lol

Hi friend, I have a c-fly obtain f803, I'm having problems of signal loss or interference, in low distance and altitude, about 40 high and 15 distance in average, he is returning home, giving RTH, I am flying here in my city with the radio controller, and I've flown in several places. I send several emails to c-fly company and they do not respond. I recently sent a video to the representative chandler and he told me to try to fly in a place with less interference , but I do not understand why I have 02 hubsan h501ss and h502e, and I never had this problem of signal loss or interference, I sent several emails to chandler requesting technical support, if possible change the driver channel 2.4g and it does not I still answered the emails

You really shouldn't fly in a city, ever. Don't fly around, or over people, houses, or cars. That is probably your problem.
