It just struck me out of no where that when I take headbath my hair is curly and when i comb after drying no matter what conditioning i do it always becomes frizzy (I never even use a straightner) . I just casually googled yesterday why it happens and then I realised i have type 2C wavy/curly hair. I love curly hair and from yesterday i was hooked on your videos. I am going to give this a try and let you know how it worked for me. Thank you so much for your detailed videos. I am like WTF I can have curly hair ... 😍😳😍😳😍

@MichelleManuel3 жыл бұрын
Yup. I've been trying/meaning to explain this point for a while now. If you're staying home, sometimes you want that light hold so that you are free to experiment with different hairstyles during other days of the week. If your curls are super defined and confined to their curl clump, it gets tangled and matted and somewhat dreadlock-esque. It becomes very difficult to section/part/manipulate into different styles.

When I started my cg journey, I used wow products because of their price point. Everything else out there was pretty expensive in comparison. I used them solely for 9 months. What do you think about my results? Have a look at my older videos and see if you like the results. If you like the results and feel like they resonate with you, go for it. With curly hair what you see is what you get. ❤️ Anyway, if you watched the full video you'll see what I have given you many options in each product category so you definitely have more options out there of the same price range. If you're not comfortable with the brand, don't use their products, use the other brands I've mentioned in the video.

Hey Michelle, I m gonna just begin my CG journey. I have wavy hair naturally. As soon as I m out of shower and my hair is wet, my hair looks nice. But when It becomes dry, it will be completely dry and like a bush if I comb my hair. As soon as I comb all the waves will disappear. What I see for CG is you do not comb when styling. Volume is not a concern but absolutely no moisture and looks very unhealthy. I think I have high porosity as any product I use only that day I see results. I use a dandruff shampoo prescribed by my dermatologist and I also use just herbs Kumuda conditioner. I have earth rhythm butter. Planning to start with deep conditioning. What leave in and gel do you recommend?
@MichelleManuel2 жыл бұрын
Hey. Maybe watch my wavy hair routine. You can comb style your hair if needed. Praying hand and scrunching is not the only styling technique. Watch my hair journey videos you'll see that my hair also looked like a bush. It tends to change with time and patience. The kumuda is a protein conditioner. Do not use it every single wash day. (Watch my protein moisture balance video to understand why) For leave in and gel I have multiple review videos that will help you choose. I don't flat out recommend products. You'll have to watch some videos and then choose based on your need for moisture and hold. Hope this was helpful

I made a dedicated video on shampoos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3LHoJaajpiEbac Don't know about dandruff. I would say speak to a dermatologist & use something medicated for dandruff.

I think the idea of the brand's messaging is, all their products are safe to use when while breast feeding. So in such, anyone could use their products.

I'll definitely try to include this point in a video. I love Dr Dray. I find her to be the most reliable source when it comes to these things. I tend to do a whole lot of reading too and I've seen similar articles however, I take her word over anything else. Also since the video's premise is budget products, I couldn't mention higher end pure oil blends.

Hi mam... Mam I hv been following u from last 15 days or so... I want to ask something that if our hairs were naturally curvy nd wavy then why we hv to style them after every wash...which habit of ours had ruined our hair natural texture.. or can we get our hair texture back I mean does the time cm that we don't need to style..
@MichelleManuel2 жыл бұрын
Ok so waves and curls need to be defined to look structured. Without a curl clump your hair won't know to form. It's advisable to watch and style once a week. You don't have to do a complicated routine. Just take and scrunch. It will not only define your hair and nourish it but also protect from damage.

@MichelleManuel3 жыл бұрын
@@prernaratwani2659 ideally no. You'd rather go with a proper leave in like the one I suggested in the video. For budget reasons we have all used normal conditioner as leave in. I made a video on it as well. I used the wow coconut conditioner till month 9 of my cgm journey. The conditioner never dried my hair out. Look at my winter routine video. My hair looked super moisturised. I've said it video after video. You're in transition. Not fair to blame a product for transitioning hair. No matter what you switch to, you can't escape the look of transitioning hair. There are no short cuts in cgm. Anyway, if you can, I would ask you to switch to leave in conditioner I've mentioned in the video.

Hey Michelle! I have run out of conditioner and I can't even make a new purchase due to lockdown. Please help me 🥺
@MichelleManuel3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Ok so ask yourself what you're using your conditioner for? If it's only to detangle, consider detangling when you pre-poo using oil? If your shampoo cannot cut through the oil, then consider making a diy conditioner with essential oil+ butters + oils? Use an electronic whisk and whisk it all together like you would a souffle! You'll find diy conditioner recipes online. If not do you have a dc + leave in? Simply use your deep conditioning mask or your leave-in conditioner as regular conditioner. You could also try a diy hair mask. I have some on my ig highlights. Not sure how effective they are but you have nothing to lose right? Failing all of these, see whether shops near you are open and in the meantime get something that is in the gray area of being cg friendly: brands like khadi, biotique, lotus, ayush, anything thats available locally and claims to be ayurvedic.

@MichelleManuel2 жыл бұрын
I've used the wow shampoo and mask for 6 months. Didn't do any damage to my hair. I've noticed that some people really enjoy their products whereas some people don't like their products at all. Anyway, let me offer some possible solutions if you're interested. In this video I've suggested 2 products from wow. The shampoo and the protein mask. In lieu of the shampoo, have a look at my updated video on cg friendly shampoos in india. You'll find many other options at a budget price. Sadly for a protein mask, there are no budget options in india. Go for the requil mask instead. It's 750 Rs. Hope this helps.

My hair is wavy and from some months I'm suffering from hairfall problem and my hairs got thickened a lot ..and lots it volume .. my curls almost got straight now .. so nowadays I use lots of oil ig for that I'll use re'equil shampoo .. but after using shampoo it becomes fizzy and rough .. and I'm not sure about conditioner.. and I want to use leave in conditioner or curl cream and curl gel .. but I'm kind of not sure bz it may weight my hairs.. heavy .. as my hairs r really thin now .... I'm really confused .. I use hair mask and oil most of the time but while going out I need my hairs to look a little good .. 🙂
@MichelleManuel3 жыл бұрын
Ok, please have a look at one of my wavy hair routine videos + my hairfall video. If you have a clogged scalp, you may experience more than usual hairfall. If you're using the requil shampoo, it has olefin sulphonate which is typically very stripping in nature. I usually use it for clarifying purposes. Please get a conditioner and a leave in conditioner and try to follow one of my routines. You'll see results if you experiment a bit with different styling routine and see what suits you best. If you have thin hair check out my upside down styling video
