Agreed on the stock locks. I ran 50 psi and 3500 rpm for a year on a 500 hp street 12v and multiple locks were well on their way through the retainer. I occasionally hit 4K rpm no load by accident but either way stock is a ticking time bomb

Love it! i'm actually thinking about doing some upgrades for my 2011 6.7. I want to do springs, pushrods, studs, new head gasket, injectors, and an air fuel separator. I'll be going through you guys for at least my springs for sure. I'm honestly kind of looking for an outfit to go to for everything. Would you guys be willing to put together a kit for me, or maybe just an email I can get in contact with you guys about this.

Would it be a good idea to replace the valve seals while doing this given it’ll be apart? If so, I’ve heard of seal damage if not using a sleeve when pressing the seal over the groove in the valve stem. True? If so, do you sell a tool for this reason. I know Cummins has a tool, but it’s ungodly expensive for what it is. I’ve heard people use items such as straws to heat shrink.

So can I do 3800 rpm on stock every Like stock injectors all I’ve done governor Springs which bring it up to 3800 RPM am I gonna have problems it’s may be making 240 hp

FYI, took me a while to figure this out, 60# springs are stock + 60# (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) it's like 95+60=155lbs total.

I’m in the process of doing my springs now. After I got number one done and re-torqued my valve lash was different. I was at 5 intake and 29exh. I never checked before disassembly but I bet it wasn’t this. Should I just readjust and move on or is the something wrong???

so are valve springs the only thing stopping a stock cummins from going up to say 4k rpm? if i got these springs and retainers and studs for example. is there anything else i would need to upgrade before going up to 4k rpm?

Phillip Patterson they didn’t intentionally hit 8k rpm, the engine ran away and at like 8200 rpm blew up like a Grenade!!!!

I think the motor overall becomes uncomfortable after about 2400 rpm. Just by the way it sounds and feels. Just my opinion. And really the stock setup is producing all it's power and torque down low under 2200.
