Got my Stone 6 months ago and I completely love it. One thing about the drip tray: you don't have to tilt it to empty like shown in this video. I always pull the tray all the way and lift straight up by grabbing the front and the back. Very easy. Also, we never make americanos, so we didn't want a hot water dispenser. The steaming power is awesome and the heat up time also. 10 min! One of the quickest on the market!

Thank you for the pro tip. We learn new things every day 😄 and yeap, if you're not drinking americanos then the Stone is definitely worth it. Glad you're enjoying your Stone!

Don’t know if is just me, but shouldn’t it be mentioned that the “pressure gauge” on the stone is not just a pressure gauge… It is a pressure gauge for the boiler, and not a “normal” pressure gauge.. What is it actually that you can use a boiler pressure gauge to? Like you can use a normal pressure gauge for identification of grind size…???

Can the OPV on the top of the Profitec GO be adjust as I run the machine to mimic pressure profiling? Maybe I can buy a nob to replace that screw on top.
@lamarsacoffee6 ай бұрын
We have yet to try that 😅 the OPV was not marketed to be adjusted on the fly while brewing. We recommend to use a blind basket and set your desired pressure before brewing.
@hiimhews80266 ай бұрын
@@lamarsacoffee I did some research and people said Profitec don't recommend doing that. However if you open the steam valve you can lower the pressure which can do preinfusion and pressure profiling. If that is really possible then I don't see any reason not to buy it 😁

I've owned the Stone for over a month now and I#m so far very happy. Solid, easy to use, and very convenient thanks to the steaming capabilities. Sure, it's not as "customizable" as the Profitec, but the simplicity is also very charming.

Agreed! It may not be perfect but it's definitely a capable and beautiful heat exchanger machine 👍

Does Stone have OPV to adjust brew pressure? And what is the purpose of Stone pressure gauge as it only shown till 3...
@lamarsacoffee10 ай бұрын
It does actually have an OPV, but to access it requires you to remove the side panels and the cup warmer, which takes some work. The pressure gauge is for the steam boiler, and you can also tell if the machine is ready when the needle reaches 1 bar.

@@lamarsacoffee - but can you use the PG for anything else? Or is it just the readiness?

I don’t think 1000usd plus machines are “budget friendly”
@Abdullah-cj2mh9 ай бұрын
For a proper espresso machine it can be considered that. I would agree that something like the Gaggia or Rancilio Silvia are much more budget friendly however. I myself am going with the Silvia and if I ever get tired of temperature surfing I’ll just buy a PID kit and install it myself.

Update: I ended up changing my mind and going with the Profitec GO instead and I love it.
