You know what bothers me when doctors using or advertising skincare products?? They ALWAYS show pictures of very youthful young ladies to dramatize the look as to how you would look… How about using the older ladies as examples and see how they turn out. Although I like this doctor and his enthusiasm to suggest products they we can use that are safe and pretty inexpensive . I would like to see the before and after effects on woman. He has with other videos showed some of these things but again, it’s nice when we older ladies could get some of those effects. By the way I am familiar with Squalane. I have it , but unfortunately don’t use it all the time. Will try to do so from now on.

My sister first told me about squalane in the 90's (25+ years ago). After a few years it seemed to be harder to find as an ingredient. I began noticing it again in recent years. I always check ingredients and I would buy the product containing it. It is definitely beneficial to the skin. It may give better results when not applied on its own. That may sound backwards but some things do provide better results that way. I prefer it in a cream. I'm not a fan of oils.

Why not use them both?? I use combination of castor oil, emu oil, and sometimes jojoba oil to cut the heaviness. I also occasionally use 100% organic essential oils like lotus, jasmine, rose, frankincense, sweet orange...etc... I find that varying these works nicely. These oils are lighter in texture, and work well to dilute the heavy, sticky oils like castor and emu oils. Emu oil has the added benefit of helping other ingredients to penetrate deeper into the skin layer. The only issue I have is having so many different skin care products, that I have to rotate use or I would never be able to use them all!! I find that if I use more than 3 or 4 serums/creams simultaneously, that the products get too thick on the skin, and can pill a bit when you apply sunscreen or makeup. I work 12hr shifts, so cannot do more than 2 applications daily.

2.5-3 liters. Definitely over 1.5 l. Increase gradually from your level now. But…if the water doesn‘t stay in (you have to pee it right out even if you drink very small seeps), firstly check your kidney function and then drink it as electrolyte drink (find the recipe to make it at home or buy it as a powder like Liquid IV). Also add salt to every bottle of water you drink (1 pinch for 0.5 l wouldn‘t taste salty but water becomes tastier).

Also, Squalane does not cause Malassezia (aka fungus acne) overgrowth that breaks out the skin with pimples & boils that look like acne, but isn't. It is a problem that many plant oils, alcohols, and other chemical ingredients have been found to affect the skin in susceptible individuals that does not affect those with acne vulgaris. However, it is important to note that acne bacteria also affects Malassezia patients around 40% of the time, making it very difficult for these people to find skin & hair care products that do not contain the ingredients that cause fungus acne /Malassezia breakouts that quickly resolve when they are avoided. Please look into this, and thank you Dr. Rajani for the work you do to keep skin healthy.
