Good afternoon Jacqueline 😊 ❤️ what an informative, fun and interesting video! Love the paddle board idea, like you said another way to enjoy the great outdoors and see, experience things from a different perspective 😀 Loved the location for this film, reminded us of our recent Derwentwater Flick, heavenly! Have a great week, sorry started writing this and got distracted by a Teams call 📞 😆 love and hugs, Ceri and Kat ☕️ 👍 🧭 🗺 ❤️ 🏄♀️

It did remind me of some of the amazing lakes you hike by. It's hard to believe this is only 3 hrs from my house. It seems like another land, far far away but its in my state of Virginia. Can't wait to go back to explore this area more! Thanks to both of you! ~RVA~

SUP-ing is something I've been wanting to try for a while! Cool to see you out there trying it and explaining the paddle length, would be awesome to find a campsite that you'd have to paddle out to on an island.... strap your backpacking gear onto the board and paddle to camp for a night or two! Congrats on the new board!

Your wish is my command, LOL! Lake Moomaw! There is a kayak in or SUP on the primitive camping island there. (there are some YT vids on it) Well, normally there is. The whole Bolar Campground is closed this year due to sewage maintenance issues. Hopefully, they can get everything worked out and open back up for next season. You can strap on a cooler to the SUP and sit on it too. It will support other gear as well. I'm excited to try that soon! ~RVA~

I love that you try all kinds of different outdoor activities. Great lake for the paddle and that is such a functional board. I love how fast you deflated it too. So worth being out there in the beautiful lake. 👍❤️Love that you can wheel it or use it as a backpack. Love that it has a good warranty too. I hear ya on the life vest

Thank you, Nicole. My heart takes me in all sorts of directions in the outdoors. As long as I am in nature experiencing all the beauty that's all that matters. It's so fun to explore an area on both land and water. I am really excited at all the places I can go to now. ~RVA~

Thanks for your review. Ive been considering getting an inflatable kayak or paddling board myself. That really helped me. I hike and camp with my lityle morkie Liberty and i think we might tilt over easily on a board. You gave me lots to think over and the video really helped alot. Also... perfect on going back to your car and starting from there because thats how I would pack it . In a small car.
@RVAHikerGirl2 жыл бұрын
So happy this info helped you out. There are paddle boards with varying widths. The wider, the more stable. I plan on strapping on a cooler, which also makes for a great seat, for some upcoming adventures. I don't feel like I would flip it or fall off. It just uses core muscles I have used in years, LOL! Yes inflatable paddle boards are great, because they fit inside your car and don't take up a lot of room. Thanks, Anglea for stopping by. If you like hiking or camping, I have 170+ other vids on my channel if you ever get bored. LOL! ~RVA~

Getting very popular now in the UK too, so many people getting them over here. To be fair, they do look great fun and I think the sitting position would suit me real fine. It packed away a lot smaller that I thought and a 2 year warranty sounds pretty fair too, cheers Alan

Its a great way to use muscles I haven't used in years, LOL! They make seats for them now too. What will they come up with next? I just adore it as a new way to explore. This area reminded me of some mountain lakes I've seen in the UK. Thanks so much for taking a look at this one. ~RVA~

I feel kinda dumb, LOL. I always thought paddle boards were solid like surf boards. That is REALLY compact! I could fit that in a car trunk, even! Good stuff! 👊

Hi and thanks, RVA for sharing. Yayay! You will be paddling. Wow, that electric air pump is nice..you can set the gauge. The SUPs, I saw in the past, use an electric pump and after that, they use a hand bicycle pump to complete. Indeed, I like the fashionable design of the SUP. May I ask if the fin is removable?...4:10 I am glad that you enjoy being on the water...I love kayaking to enjoy landscapes and encountering wildlife which are the different views from the water compared to from the land. May I ask if you are considering a mount for your recording cam onto the SUP? It will be great! My husband(kayak7seas) usually mounts his cams in front and rear, but I only have it in front. I look forward to seeing you on the water more often.🙋♀🙋♀🚣♀🚣♀
@RVAHikerGirl2 жыл бұрын
It comes with a hand pump and it doesn't take long to blow it up that way either. The electric pump is much faster though. Oh yes, the bottom fin is removable. I would love a mount for my kayak for videoing. But I don't as of now have a go pro. I only use my phone and am cautious about it falling in the water. So that made filming a bit of a challenge. I'm usually on land with my videos well unless I am in a kayak or motor boat that is when fishing. Appreciate you stopping by and watching. ~RVA~

I have a similar one I got off of amazon i need to get back in the water. I am not good at standing on it but I did get a seat for it. Its still fun even though I fell off it 500 times, ha.
@RVAHikerGirl2 жыл бұрын
How do you like the seat? I might strap on a cooler (makes a nice seat too) and some gear and go SUP camp. I haven't fallen off, but I am sure it's only a matter of time before my fin hits a tree limb or rock and I go in. ~RVA~
@ThenaturalmedicAdventures2 жыл бұрын
@@RVAHikerGirl tell you the truth I've only launched This sup one time and that was several years ago. I did not use the seat. I am tall 6 ft 2 therefore my center of gravity is probably a little bit higher than yours. I've been a slacker until recently about a kayak in 2015 launched it for the first time 3 weeks ago. Now I have to take it out every weekend. This weekend when I'm in Dallas-Fort Worth for a job interview I prob will again. I need to take the SUP out again! Not sure when ill fit that in ha!

Hi Jacqueline! Your Paddle Board looks like lots of fun! I haven't tried one yet. Great that it fits so easily in your car and inflates pretty quickly too. Great way to enjoy the lake, get some exercise and get out in nature in a little different way. Do you just go on lakes or could you also go on a river? I think I might tip over, but it really does seem pretty stable! Enjoyed the video- thanks!! :) 👍👍😀
@RVAHikerGirl2 жыл бұрын
I haven't taken it out on the river yet, but you sure could. I have only gone to calm water places. But ponds and lakes or a nice calm bay would work. Even a little bit of wind makes it hard to paddle against. A lot of of rivers are super low right now and the fin would drag if its too low. I love lakes in general, the water is typically cleaner too. Thanks for stopping by Jennifer! ~RVA~

Bolar was closed for the season. So I tried Sherwood Recreational Area right across in WV, but that was closed for the season as well, go figure. But on that road to Sherwood are about 12 free dispersed camping spots. That's where I camped for one night before driving further into WV where I was headed. With Bolar closed though no one was around at all except for me, which was great. Thanks, Tonya for tuning in. ~RVA~

Nooo! No more dying. That's my natural color believe it or not. I've been covering this grey up since I was 18 years old. I finally decided after being very blonde to try to hide it, and all the money spent, and damage to my hair for so long, to just embrace it and got for it. Some people say it makes me look a lot older, I say oh well it's just me. Thanks Jillian for watching and for your nice comment. ~RVA~
