My best vegan food options are meals I make myself, dehydrate, package and take on trail. Seasoned how I like and no futzing when I prepare. Make your own fruit leather for trail-so much tastier (and cheaper) than the prepackaged stuff you buy.

The cozy for your battery bank is clever, but it’s simpler to slip all your electronics in the foot of your sleeping bag in cold weather. Mine are organized in a tiny Osprey roll bag.

@@johnnamaravelis4093 not for me. I toss and turn like a rotersserie chicken all night. I might put clothes in there but nothing hard like a power bank. Doesn’t feel good rolling over on that in your hip or shoulder. 😂

I noticed in another video you had a different kind of mattress. Which one do you prefer? I’ve got to order a new one & I’ve narrowed it down to the 2 types I’ve seen in your videos. I’m more concerned with comfort. I don’t camp in extreme cold. lol

@@apostolicmodestfashion yes I am a gear nerd so I have lots of different gear for different types of trips for the car honestly for just me. I prefer the UST gear Fillmatic mattress because it’s the most comfortable mattress that I own. If I had two people in the car you could do 2 20 inch backpacking mattresses or that Hey Trip mattress which is the white one. The Hey Trip mattress you only have to inflate one side if you wanted to I just don’t think that one is as comfortable as the UST mattress. Hope that helps.

I got it from wearing Cotton On leggings, that was my first time wearing it to hike. Then I noticed how I never got hiker's rash when I was wearing Uniqlo's AIRism leggings which was my go to legging prior to the Cotton On's.

@@clutteredvulture interesting. My socks that I generally wear are Marino wool or the darn tough hiking socks both are breathable and wicking. And my leggings are typically dry fit wicking. Anyway, I hope that that works for you because it’s no fun getting this.

Thank you for sharing, your video is the first one that I can look at that's not a short and actually shows detail. I would love to go to this fall but it's 157 mi from where I live, as I live in West Virginia, but I would love to make the trip sometime! It reminds me of White oak canyon. I put out a video of that place several years ago.

@@ByGraceIGo so happy you like the video. I’ve hiked white Oak Canyon White Oak Canyon is a lot more difficult to go from the bottom to the top then what Crabtree Falls is. Crabtree Falls at least has handles going up the stairs and little platforms where you can rest, but if you have the opportunity to make it out that way, I would highly recommend it. There is a campground with some cabins & canvas tents nearby if you wanted to stay and make a trip out of it

@@mollyponfil6657 yes since this video has been made, I have set this 10 up numerous times and I have found the easiest way to set it up. Is to put the fly on before you put the polls up so no more struggling trying to get it on.
