I have a question about the reflextics (sp) on your back window, the liftgate. Occasionally I take my Pathfinder out & go car camping, nothing sticks well to that window, I have tried recutting them, cleaning it, suction cups, nothing works. I think it might have to do with the de frost lined... I don't know. Suggestions? Even other ideas. Thanks.

I put black duct tape in the corners back to back to help it fit better and wedge it in place. I don't have a problem with the reflectix not staying up. I hope that helps.

Bridal veil falls in utah freezes in the winter and is a beautiful waterfall. Was alot better when there wasn't 900 people there at a time but that's Utah now.

This is stunning! Thanks for posting because we plan to go to Giles County this year. Also funny that today we went on a hike to see a frozen waterfall in Clarke County but the falls were dry. When we got back to the car, your video popped up.

Gotta have at least 2 of those fans, it is so much better. I had a very similar set up with my Nissan Pathfinder, I used it for about 2 years, but food storage was an issue for me. Maybe I overthink, but I didn't know if I should keep it in my car, or the tent. Most rangers suggested a bear proof container in the front in the floor, but then I felt I was still sleeping with it close by. (I ended up making a cargo camper conversion & love it) Thanks for the video!

@@greycaribou def never sleep with food in your tent. You can hang it in a tree - look up the PCT hang or in a bear proof container. I keep my food in my car personally unless I’m backpacking them I hang it. Yeah I’m a huge fan girl at home and car camping

I tried the baby food and it's great for the nutrition. Love the bananas! What do you do for drinking water? How much? What containers? Where in the car is it stored for travel?

@@Azgal2347 that depends on how long the trip is. I generally take gallon jugs. If I stop and there’s a mountain spring I can easily fill them up for free. But they make various sizes of larger camping water storage containers. Walmart, Bass Pro etc carries them

@@serenityjewel it takes me a lot less time now after I’ve set it up a whole bunch. I would say a good five minutes now. I have learned to put the flight of the tent on before I put up the polls so now I don’t have to struggle with getting that up.

@ Thank you! That’s awesome. I don’t know why I thought it took a long time. I can definitely set it up then. What do you do if you need to take your tent down and it’s wet? How do you keep it from molding? I’m going to be living in my minivan, I’ve only slept in a tent once before, and it didn’t rain. I’ve never had to deal with a wet tent, especially in a small space.

@ use a micro fiber cloth to wipe down. If it’s wet when you pack up pull it out to dry in the sun before completely packing up. Also be sure to both seam and spray seal it to prevent leaks - so important

@@lenoresmathers339 so a lot of times people use the back passenger seat opposite of where your mattress is and they create an area by pushing the front passenger seat forward to allow more floorboards space in the back.

My best vegan food options are meals I make myself, dehydrate, package and take on trail. Seasoned how I like and no futzing when I prepare. Make your own fruit leather for trail-so much tastier (and cheaper) than the prepackaged stuff you buy.

The cozy for your battery bank is clever, but it’s simpler to slip all your electronics in the foot of your sleeping bag in cold weather. Mine are organized in a tiny Osprey roll bag.

I noticed in another video you had a different kind of mattress. Which one do you prefer? I’ve got to order a new one & I’ve narrowed it down to the 2 types I’ve seen in your videos. I’m more concerned with comfort. I don’t camp in extreme cold. lol

@@apostolicmodestfashion yes I am a gear nerd so I have lots of different gear for different types of trips for the car honestly for just me. I prefer the UST gear Fillmatic mattress because it’s the most comfortable mattress that I own. If I had two people in the car you could do 2 20 inch backpacking mattresses or that Hey Trip mattress which is the white one. The Hey Trip mattress you only have to inflate one side if you wanted to I just don’t think that one is as comfortable as the UST mattress. Hope that helps.
