When swapping GPUs it's cleanest to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to get everything - paying attention to the procedure to stay offline so Windows doesn't try to install something when you're not looking. Downloading the new drivers in advance and staying offline until you install them is worth the effort for best results with or without DDU. Good vid, nice to see someone paying attention to performance other than in games. Say, don't suppose you tried Davinci Resolve under linux to see how it performed there?

Yes, I have tried running Resolve on Linux with this graphics card. But Davinci Resolve requires proprietary drivers in order to recognize and use the GPU. So when starting Resolve, it just said unsupported GPU. Sadly, blackmagic does not plan on supporting Intel gpus on linux anytime soon. 😞

Probably should have waited a month as the new generation is highly speculated to be coming out within the next 2 weeks

Totally agree with you, I just bought the cheapest GPU I could, and it was a bad idea. 😆 🤣

a lot of times windowsm uninstaller does not delete all the drivers us a trusted 3rd party installer like the ones Js two cents the u tube comentator uses to completly remove old drivers 100% if you only use the windows uninstaller very often the bad prefprmance happens becuasr they arent completly deletyed causing these conflicts , , good luck if you do this it will make a decent performance uplift

Thank you for the suggestion. I did reinstall windows later to try and fix, well, multiple problems I was having. It did fix some of them, but it still crashed Davinci Resolve.

Just turn rebar off

Do you think that would have worked? I can't remember if I tried that. All I know is that in games, rebar helped some.
