What could be more fun than amassing a huge army of elves and beating our opponent's face with them? How about doing it with a deck which only uses cards of $2 or less? Which modern deck should we tackle next?

Budget MTG Decks love your content as always, can I suggest a possible series; I would like to see Preconstructed decks upgraded into different formats, for example an EDH Goblin deck from the recent Duel Deck: Merfolk Vs Goblins (I would equally be interested in the Merfolk too 😁). Jokes aside, some of the cards i would consider: Arbor Elf (untap Forest for more mana), Elvish Pioneer (get those extra basic Forest and/or Swamp outta your hand and ramps you faster), Overrun (ka-boom!), Triumph of the Hordes (regular damage isn't enough), and i guess, Vines of Vastwood?

You don't want more mana dorks in this deck and Arbor Elf and Elvish Pioneer are not better than the current package for this deck. Overrun is good, but this deck uses creature drawing cards so a finisher should really be a creature card. Dito for Triumph of the Hordes. Vines of the Vastwood is good with fattie strategies and less so with going wide strategies.

How similar is this to the Jeff Hoogland build? And how hard is this to play? I would like to have a themed deck such as this one, but I'm still new to the game.

Hi Marco, we are unfamiliar with Jeff's build so we can't really say what the similarities are. However we can say it is a fairly straightforward deck to pilot.

Hi Rooibos, we really like making the duel decks but we found that not a lot of people watched the videos so it makes stops them from making it to the top of our priorities list. They are however on the list.

With Loaming Shaman, can the target player just choose a single fodder card to shuffle back into his library and keep his strong graveyard cards in the graveyard? If so, wouldn't it be a waste of a card since you can't choose the cards to shuffle back in?

Eric Hansen what is toolboxing? Sorry im a casual MTG player. Cost has always been a barrier for me not to mention up keep. Channels like your encourage me to keep going. Where do you also recommend to get cards from to build these decks do you have a specific site you recommend that they actually build decks or do you have to go hopping web page to web page in the hopes of finding specific cards?

Would it really though? With the essence warden (potentially 4) and Dwynen you should be up above your opponent with respect to life. Which means the Rakdos Charm won't kill you but the Shaman will kill them. Theoretically of course.

What is a sideboard

A sideboard is a group of 15 cards which you can use to change cards in your main deck in between games. So if you just lost a game against a burn deck you could use cards in your sideboard to make your deck stronger against it (like adding lifelink cards).
