Man, this game is a riot. Glad we're finally getting back to streaming it after the disruptions in October. I've personally never played the old Jagged Alliance games, so this is all new to me, and is very entertaining. Something about training militias tickles a part of my strategy brain that I love. Sorry we failed to stop the zombie apocalypse btw the guys.

Dude i wish they would improve much more on their next game I just hope that they would bring back old mechanic like Air travel by chopper, airports as a way to shop weapon online, a more distinct difference between regular enemies and elite, scouting/spotter with binoc/ nvg at night (night ops was a massive pain in JA2), vehicle enemy. An improvement idea maybe on allowing the enemy faction to hire mercs as mini bosses/boss from a competing mercs agency as you increase your threat level.

​@@OzzystrayrooFunny thing is they just streamlined two things of what you're asking for: NVGs are a thing that take up the head slot and you can take blind fire shots outside your vision range with a decent chance to hit if your marksman is good. Vehicles would be sick, but air travel would trivialize the game as it is.

@@kirbyis4ever NVGs in this game only improve hit chance...in the past you can't see shit in the night without nvg or flares (which make being ambushed by wild tigers at night a horror game). Air travel is not that trivial once you understand that in Ja 2 you need to create a safe air zone by capturing Sam sites, and make sure they enemy didn't recapture it (and instead of SAM sites we only have observer bases, now). Yeah it will trivialize travel once you maintain the air zone, but the dev could balance it by making it costly

For those watching, Barry's GODLIKE "COOKING" Shape Charges were nerfed, twice. They are still great, but not GODLIKE. Also, machiniguns were "nerfed", before a patch they would overwatch with full AP no matter what you did, now they overwatch depending on the AP remaining on the character, greatly reducing their effectiveness.

Just caused it made me laugh so hard : in "Gaston le Piston", "le Piston" is a french slang word for nepotism, even on a basic level like a family member using relations to find you a job opportunity or something, thus implying Gaston here either got his position as a low level thug from nepotism and his comrades mock him for it, or that he himself offers such shitty opportunities to others and his famous for it. Both possibilities are incredibly funny and stupid, I love it.

One thing I really appreciate about JA3 is that they clearly kept the goofiness that the other games in the main series had without compromising the relatively dark setting. Back in JA2 you could fight giant bugs, encounter a gang of hillbillies who somehow got into South America, recruit a lunatic in a junkyard who somehow got an experimental shotgun, steal a Mafia don's money and gun him down in Third World Las Vages, get a drone robot squadmate, and other funky shit. So running into a Granny militia is par for the course for these games.

That's because *Dexterity* is what mostly determines your hit chances in melee, and he has pretty garbage 48 Dex. What I like to do is play with one of the mods that make that not happen so I can take it a bit slower and train up my mercs.
