I think the reason the kyack pulled to the right was that you had the drive down. The whole time you paddled the pedals were turning, so there was force from the water acting on the propellor. That force was actng to keep the boat in a turn to the right.

The drive is in a fixed position why would it move left or right? Only if there is current or the boat doesn't track well

Could it be tracking poorly because you kept the pedal drive in the water while paddling? Don't they offer a hull cover for when the pedal drive is up?

Kayaks like this with an aggressive rocker profile can handle very rough chop without sacrificing much speed. Also maneuverability will be awesome, but no rudder tracking will suffer.

Ohh yeah, luckily we have the rudder but launching thru the surf by paddle could be an issue i should try it

@@AliexFolgueira the boat has a similar profile to recreational surf kayaks and it technically is an Ocean Kayak Malibu pedal. I can imagine that the pedal drive would be problematic in a beach launch. Keep making videos 👍

Great review. To me that's the best bang for the buck. I've always loved the open space at the front to throw my shoes , lunch box or what ever. Looks like a very versatile fishing platform and you don't break the bank.

You need to lift the pedal drive to do the paddle test... the prop is pulling you to the right

There is no reason for the prop to pull you right or left it is fixed

Tracking issues on the Malibu and this one not sure why but with the locked down rudder and using the pdl drive I didn't see much of an issue it is towards the end of the vid

Aleix, just wondering if you could go slow enough(never thought I would say that) in this kayak, was it hard to maintain 2.0-2.5 mph for trolling? Also thinking about getting this over a fin style Kayak I have now as I am thinking that a prop style drive will require less energy from me as compared to a fin style. My friend take the "Salty" to salty agitated waters not to a little subdivision pond. We want to see how it does performs in the environment for it was built. Please take that kayak to waters where it is suppose to rule. Other than that is just a joke. You can do better.
