At the moment mate we are saving for the roll cage, after that its suspension and tyres :)

@@TheNuggetProject what suspension you going with? The word going round is they might be changing the state/club rules too allow for MCA which is what the national class are aloud to use currently

Hey mate I'll be running MCA, had too many first had accounts of bad quality xyz. Bit more expensive but at least you can buy individual shocks if one breaks :)
@billyhamilton36696 жыл бұрын
@@TheNuggetProject yeah good idea. Iv got the xyz currently and have had issues with the shock leaking plus the MCA I think have a stiffer rear spring rate which would help the front not lift on corner exit and get more grip, which is currently my main issue.

@@billyhamilton3669 Yeah perfect! i hear good things about after sales service from MCA too, Chinese parts but assembled in Qld, if anything goes wrong you can send it back and at they can rebuild it for you save having to throw the whole thing in the bin and buy a new one each time :) According to the Cams rules there are two options which looks like the 'blue' and the 'purple' on the MCA site, i'm not too sure what the difference is, will have to do more research, i think the purple are a fair wack more cash though, around the $2050 mark with the blue being only $1590.

Why are you keeping the heater core in just add weight strip it all out its a race car not road car
@TheNuggetProject6 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, two reasons, firstly i live in Victoria where it can be 40 degrees and sunny in the morning and pissing down rain within a few hours, i've got lots of mates who either have or do race and they all said to leave the heater core in, hot air is what clears a windscreen and for the sake of a tiny bit of weight loss i might not be able to go out due to no vision, one of my mates took his out and then spent ages trying to resource another core and housing after he was stuck on the dummy grid with a rag trying to keep the windscreen clear. Secondly the minimum weight for the class isn't that low, so even though i'm removing most things so i can add balast where i want to get up to min weight, a little heater core isn't an issue :) Thanks for watching!

@@lukecrutchley7 haha yeah you've got good weather! it was mid 30s on the weekend up on the mountain i was shooting at and now it's just dumped 15cm of snow! Victoria is a mess, i'd rather leave a tiny bit of weight in and actually be able to drive here :)
@lukecrutchley76 жыл бұрын
@@TheNuggetProject yeah we struggle to stay on weight because of the height of me so if its wet i have to deal with a fogged screen and if its hot i have to sweat to death. It was 45 degrees in the car last weekend

@@lukecrutchley7 oh man yeah that sucks! luckily i'm not too tall, but they aren't big cars hey, iv'e got the seat about as low as i can go and i'm not far off the roof, can't imagine what it would be like for anyone 6 foot or over.
