Budget RC Drift Build: Part 1 Chassis Assembly

The build begins! Rear wheel drive drifting is one facet of the RC hobby I've been wanting to get more involved in for awhile. Now I'm finally getting things rolling with this build. The Idea is to build a drift car that performs well but costs less than $300. This video focuses on assembling the 3Racing Sakura D4 RWD kit and taking a look at the body, an ABC Hobby Nissan 180SX.

for the body I would go with either an FA, FB or FD RX7, probably the FD

I've been wanting to get into RC drifting such a long time now, but My family refuses to buy me these "expensive toys that'll break so quickly" I've tried explaining they are easily fixable this that and the other. but they continue to refuse, so I settle with watching cheap drift builds, tandem videos and others. I'm going to attempt to save to make this build and hopefully it'll all work out lol, wish me luck my guy.

For me, the hardest part of going from AWD drift to RWD drift was learning how to work in conjunction with the gyro. For the most part, they gyro does most of the work, you only need to steer just a little just to keep the car from spinning out. It took me a month to get it down. Just keep at it and you'll get it in no time.

Hey I just wanna say THANK YOU so much for making this series of videos… I have always been into JDM cars my whole life and just cars in general and have purchased many off road rc cars from like Amazon and stuff but they were not good quality and like not real cars… then recently, I just found out about rc drifting and I have been looking at a bunch of rc drifting stuff but haven’t found anything cheap and just haven’t been able to figure anything out like what I need all that but I saw this video and the other parts, and found out how to be able to do this hobby for a good price thanks to you. Im 12 and thank god all i can buy is the flying fish. Tryna start a channel so i can get money for better upgrades. I dont wanna buy another chassis until i am succesfull. You can buy already made RC drift cars usually called ready to run or RTR vehilces, but not this particular chassis, it is only available as a kit.

There are a ton of bodies that will fit this chassis. Check to make sure the body's width is 190-200mm and the wheel base is around 260mm.
