Singaporeans by and large are disagreeable to the increased GST and lower income groups too are disagreeable to not using more than 50 per cent of returns derived from reserves The opposition members which represent them would certainly be likewise. In times when cost of living is critically high and where returns from reserves are gigantic so much so that it amounts to over provision for future generations if not purposefully used to ameliorate the bad situations currently prevailing.

How can hawker foods that jacked up many many times above the 1% hike not be permanent? Will these jacked up daily necessities prices drop if its not permanent? PAP has no permanent solution to long term problem like high inflation and high interest rate. The little budget money cannot help high inflation from housing, car coe, food,etc. People and businesses are dying from high cost.
