Damn .... I have heard about you and now I know why! I've dabbled in all different types of guns.. 22's, PCC'S, AR's, Surplus, Shotties, Auto pistols and old school cowboy single action revolvers. The only thing left on the bucket list is long range and black powder, My son at 22 is pushing me into scary deep waters. I have always had bad eyes so going for distance has been put on the back burner, My new glasses have got me above 20/20 and 400yrds on a 223 is cake. I'm a little suspicious when 99% of all KZbin videos seem to be promoting the Arken EP5. The Vortex is guaranteed for LIFE and a much better product.

I installed this optic on a crossman 760 air rifle.I have now shot the riffle around 500 times during target/plinking practice, and the kzbin.infoUgkxc4K63Fd5LglDMObu7-Bgapxp_ef0W8hE scope has done well.With this optic, I have neutralized around 30 pigeons that were invading one of my buildings.For my short range air rifle, I will continue to use this scope, but will be upgrading to a more powerful scope, when I buy a more powerful air rifle, in order to shoot at longer distance.For the money I have spent, this scope has truly been a great buy.

I have 3 Venoms and recently purchased an EP5 for another rimfire build . Bottom line: I feel the controls and mechanics are better on the EP5. However, the brightness and (EBR7) reticle on the Venom were unanimously voted noticeably better when I let shooting buds try them side by side at the range. If I were to buy another 5-25 scope tomorrow, I'd stick with the Venom for my needs.

Great Review I have the ep5 and strike eagle. Think thier both great. The price listed venom for is what I paid for the SE the Venom is available for 499.99 the ep5 is 549.99 and the SE was 699.99 but is now often 799.99

I do not know if its true but I heard Arken owns the factory (I am sure they lease the building) in China where these are made giving them complete quality control themselves if true.

I just picked up the EP5 and the -5-30x56 Continental. The Vortex strike Eagle 5-25x56 I also have. I have other high end scopes and the one that stands out is the Vector Optics Continental scopes! I have other Vector Optics Veyron for ultimate light weight hunting scope and it a pinch over 200 bucks in ffp for the 3-12x44.

Im just getting into this type of sport shooting with needing a scope and Ive been looking online for sometime trying to learn as much as I can and so far from a completely amateur point of perspective the Arken wins for me. Going to one soon to add to my AR-10 .308 build.

Why do people seem to make such a big deal about the parallax numbers being off? I turn it until it's clear period. I honestly barely even pay attention to the numbers. When I'm beyond 1000 I just crank it all the way to infinity. I will be attempting 1760 Sat here in NW AR. We've worked our way up to it. I'm fairly new to long range shooting. I have a Viper HST but was thinking about the lighted reticle Venom. I've ordered the Arken cantilever 20moa mount so I can get a bit more height.

If your parallax is accurate, you can use it to range targets. Less maths than using your reticle and safes you from pulling out the range finder.

Yes it will, the tube diameters on both are 34mm.

The arken lens caps dont fit , the focus slides and is difficult . The glass is great , the integral rings are well made , zero stop system wonderful . Tracks good and is accurate . More to come .

Soften the rubber up by holding them over some steamy water. That is what I had to do to get the objective lens cap on. That sucker was really tight.

I dont know if the vortex goes on sale much but right now you can get the arken for 400. So now its a 400 dollar scope vs a 700 dollar scope 😮

The vortex venom has dropped to $500 as a non sale price about 6months ago. I've seen it on sale for $450. So still comparable price. I'm watching this video as I'm debating between getting another Venom or trying the Arken.
