Wow. I'm already laughing my ass off. So, I have a similar problem. My e38 sunroof does work. Moves up, down, forward and back. But...when the ass holes put the windshield in, they plugged up the drains, so now it leaks inside when it rains. My solution was to buy a giant car magnet. Like 3' x 3.5' or something? Idk, big enough. I even ordered it a similar color to my paint and put the BMW font on it. I keep it rolled up in the trunk. Now when I anticipate rain I just unroll it and slap it on the roof. Boom done, cost me like $65 bucks shipped UPS.
