The blue arrived yesterday. The funny part is, I immediately flipped the strap as well. Just makes more sense. My wrists are smaller, but this watch still wears really well. The bezel action on mine has a lot more slop. Dunno why, but the subdued colors are one of the things I like the most about this watch. I would say I am happy with the watch, but I wouldn't say I am overly impressed. Thanks for the review.

Now its buttery smooth and you can hear the spring pegs clickinv into place, it quite satisfying. I have another one in my basket with note for factory to fix up black dial w green bezel :) ...o, and ive stuck an Octopod on it, looks quality,

Nice, big fan of the pelagos. Only niggles is that it’s quite thick and you then have a NATO for a bit of extra height, would sling it on a single pass. Love the deep dial. Great work sir

Nailed it. The bezel action is weird, and it's not 60 or 120 click; more like 48 click, and the action feels kind of imprecise. Otherwise very nice for the price. I swapped the manufacturer strap for a marine nationale, which I think is a significant improvement.

Good review mate. Know what you mean with the totally different feel of a titanium bezel. Takes a bit of getting used to. Wears pretty well even with those fixed lugs.

A great review, I have a V2 with the black dial and blue bezel, yes the strap isn't great, but it does work, although there are many single pass straps and Natos that suit it very well or even better?

All brushed metal watches will mark,best bet is to use as beater watch as they do make for a nice patena finish which looks nice with the glass sapphire which wears so much better👍

This watch is very interesting, I quite like, even the colour. I guess even the original will be prone to scratches as they don't specify and scratch resistance coating. I think so far this is a microbrand thing. The makers of this watch should do themselves a favour and go with a better branding. "Tactical Frog" makes no sense and borders on being silly. I wonder how long it takes until homages of the new "regular" 39 mm Pelagos pop up? Nice review James!

That's true, it's pretty rare to see titanium watches with an anti-scratch coating. But once you've had one you really miss it if it's not on other watches. I get what you're saying about the name, it'll definitely work better on certain types of designs. Thanks mate.

Love that they let you mix up the dial & bezel colours. Great way of matching to different outfits! (Hey, watch guys can be stylish. Don't you judge me!) Tip: if you want to keep an untreated titanium watch pristine for longer, put a layer of clear satin nail varnish on the areas prone to catching (slab side, crown guards, lug tips).

Ok, done it - Ordered Green from Watchdives. Should I expect any huge tax / customs charges when it hits my (UK) shores ? Was desperate for either a Tudor Pelagos FXD or 39mm, neither of which are available anywhere for anywhere near rrp (which is still somewhat excessive but hey, y'know?). Having watched your (most excellent) vid I've changed tack and gone for the green - looks awesome and also, hey, it's a (tactical) frog!! Can't wait and will be interesting to check out the bezel - may also put nail varnish on but at this price....

⁠Yes, not for everyone. There should never be a copy of the real thing. But if you want to wear copies of originals then that’s on you. Also, you’ve obviously invested a good amount of money in your camera and microphone in order to review a crap $200/300 dollar watch that many others have said the lume washed off of the bezel while they were washing their hands. Think about that. Your willingness to tolerate these awful features is the real problem with the watch market these days.

@@D6EH It depends on who you ask, but for me personally I class something as an homage, when it's not trying to pass itself off as the original. It has different branding, as well as subtle differences in design and movements etc. They are aimed at completely different markets. People who buy homages aren't likely to buy the real thing. As they can't/won't pay that kind of money for a watch. So they just want something with a similar look, but at a more reasonable price point. Another factor that comes into play with homages of certain brands (I'm looking at you Seiko) is that some of the homages can have better specs and build quality than the originals. For this exact reason, I have quite a few Seiko homages in my collection, but no actual Seiko's. Homages are bought by people who love the originals and the brands who make them... Whereas fakes are bought by people who want to try and make out that they are something they aren't. They don't care about the originals or the brands that make them at all. It's a status symbol to them nothing more. When it comes to watches with more original designs, I prefer to go for microbrands. As I feel they offer better value for money, more unique designs and also you're supporting small businesses rather than large companies who have massive markups on their watches.
