Holy!!! I have been fighting and fighting my cheapo mic watching video after video and nothing helped. I was going to buy a new mic the a6t and ran into your video here. Your settings worked 100%, and just as you said I had to adjust the two thresholds to work together. Now this mic I have is very usable. Thanks so much. I know this video is a year old but for anyone else seeing this having mic issues. Do exactly as he said IT WORKS!

Thanks so much for your advice! I was wondering why this mic's sound quality dropped when I switched from Mac Book to Windows. I watched a lot of videos to find that out. Your advice was spot on. It did made the sound a lot better! I still have a problem of my mid-ranged voice cracking when I pronounced "b" or "p." I think I need to figure out the way myself...Thanks again!!

Hi, just got the microphone you're using as well. Really cool guide which helped tremendously. I still have a problem thou, as the microphone is picking up keyboard clacking while speaking. Any idea on how to mitigate that?

In this case, the easiest solution is to use RTX Voice if your computer has an RTX graphics card. Or if it's about streaming, just follow the video to add the noise gate filter to your OBS. At last, some physical methods: try turning down the volume dial to below 60% but get closer to the mic around 3 inches, and use it with a boom arm if it's the A6V tripod model that you have.

@@FIFINE holy necro but thank you very much for the answer. My solution was a new mechanical keyboard with cherry silent switches. Still use the mic to stream thou, it's really great value/price.

Sorry about the issue and for catching sight of your comment late! Was the dial turned all the way up? What's the range of the level meter moved on the OBS when you spoke to the mic within 5 inches and 100% volume?
