Considering a surefire blew up I don't think this is a olight problem. High power devices using lithium batteries always have the potential to blow up, cell phones included lol

All the “it’s a grenade” people are funny, i found 1 example of a light that blew up and it was because someone put a bigger battery than it was rated for in it,that was the guy who died. The same thing happens with certain tube style vapes, if you mess them up they turn into pipe bombs,Tons of photos of the vapes exploding. You can’t mess with those high output lithium batteries. Most people just see a meme and call stuff junk without running stuff. I did have an odin mount break and my pl mini 2 mount broke…. The lights still work. I have 4 olight handhelds 2 i carry everyday for two years and they are great. If i get another olight weapon light it will probably be the PL pro how that one mounts on is just way better than that dumb mount on the mini and the batteries can be replaced. The biggest determining factor for me on the PL pro or the tlr1 is going to be holster compatibility, some companies don’t make holsters for olight. I’ve been a traxxas fan for 15 years… i had multiple T-maxxs growing up… now i have a few electric stampedes. Electric RC has come such a long way since i was a kid lol

The guy had a cheap no name battery, not an overpowered battery. The battery exploded, not the light

@ according to everything i could find and the fact it’s common practice to run a battery with more output I’d have to disagree. Also a cheap battery from Amazon. What’s it really matter,either way I’m saying it wasn’t the lights fault its user error so what’s your point really? The battery explodes and because of the pressure it creates the light blows apart.

​@@itsamk18-ish Not sure where you get your info from, but running a flashlight with a battery outside of the normal voltage range is a terrible idea.

I've had 5 of 8 of mine broke. The only good one I have is the Valkerie pl2 and a pin light. 3 Key chain light fails after its left on fir a while, 2 batons broke.

Only complaint I have about my Baldr Pro, Is it seems the batteries I ordered from Olight, Came not fully charged, The batteries that came with my Baldr turned the thing into the batman symbol. I mean it was SOO bright, Now it seems not as bright.

Lithium batteries should be stored at about half capacity 3.5v so yeah, batteries should come not fully charged....
