No. You need sublimation ink with sublimation paper. You’ll need a separate printer for anything not using sublimation. Is not advised to continuously swapp out the ink.

No! You do NOT want to mix the inks. By swapping cartridges, the ink going to the print head will be contaminated. If you set one up for sublimation, that's all it should be used for.

I finally worked up the nerve to convert my 7710 printer to sublimation. I used it as a regular printer for awhile. Do you just keep doing the print nozzle check until the lines break up and then become clear agsin

Do purge files instead of nozzle checks. They use a lot of ink and too many can hurt your printer.

To cover your design when pressing. You always need to cover with butcher paper so the sublimation ink doesn’t transfer to your heat press. If it does the dye can get on other items. So always cover and always use a new sheet.

Having trouble with the nozzle check the Edson cartridges did good so then I put the sublimation cartridges in started doing nozzle check I’ve done it 25 times, the black never went spotty like yours did and there is barely any blue coming out the magenta looking color is barely coming out and looks like it’s getting mixed with the blue somehow cause it’s a darker color almost purple and there is barely any yellow

It’s ok if it doesn’t get spotty. With so many nozzle checks I’d refill the ink and try to print an image to see how that works.

You can convert a used one as well. You’ll just need to purchase a conversion kit along with your sublimation ink.

Definitely check Cosmos ink for the kit, but if they don’t have the one for your printer available I still recommend getting their ink. Also check Etsy.

Do you mean the colors are dull? If so that’s normal. The heat activated the ink with sublimation. So you won’t see the true colors until you press.

I’d just refill each cartridge as it gets empty. Or you can use the syringe take out all the old ink, and then add the new ink, but by mixing it you may not get the vibrant colors that come from using cosmos.
