I remember when I was thinking of buying this game and looking through KZbin for your review. I bought it and played it and I liked it. I come from the nes era of gaming where finding a game for 50 cents at garage sale meant you beat it for the sake of not giving up and beating every game you buy. This game gave me that feeling again. You hit all the points in this game I remember thinking while playing, and I love your unbiased honesty. I like that you always say this may be your game or it may not be. You don’t just giving an opinion that matches with everyone for the sake of your credibility among reviewers on KZbin. I applaud you for your honesty and integrity.

I liked the look of this one when I first saw it because it reminded me of the kind of flash games I used to play a lot when I was younger. I held back because the combat looked super floaty, glad I was right about that - thanks for taking another one for the team. :)

Got this a while back and it went unplayed for about two months. I decided to try it and just didn’t feel the combat. Probably won’t go back to it.

Got this a while ago for like 70p and played for a bit but I got it at the same time as Hyper Light Drifter and Caveblazers and it got lost to the backlog. From what I remember there was a surprising amount of promise there, I might have to revisit when I have my Zelda detox in a day or two. Also, dekudeals says its not on sale anywhere that uses dollars...

Games like this are a conundrum for me, because the $.50 price tag pulls me in, but then I have to ask myself if I really want to clutter up my already bloated library with a bunch of mediocre games I probably won’t even get around to playing. For some reason, the specific style of character models used in this game is what kept me away from it. I don't know but it feels to me like more often than not, games with characters that move in the paper cut out style usually feel like one of those cheaply made mobile games.

I agree. I try soooooo hard not to judge like that, but 90% of thd time, it's pretty accurate. 😑

Twin stick style combat is what you should have started with, but thankyou for mentioning it at all, now at least I know it controls better than diablo 3.

I bought this when it first went on sale, but I gave up on the game pretty quickly. I was just really unimpressed, from the word go. That said, it's not the worst 50 cent game on the Switch, by any means. While it didn't click with me, it's probably still worth trying, at that price.

Oh! That is a fun one. It is certainly noting to novel, but it was a lot of fun playing a new story. Have you played Fairune? I just played it last night. Funny thing... I think I liked the original best.
