This is how I make iced coffee. I pour a cup of coffee. And then my kids start screaming about something. And then I go to drink it and it's cold. Voila. The end.

Love ☕️, love frugal dupes! BG-I’m old enough to be your mama, and I’ve always lived a frugal, debt free life, with the exception of our mortgage, which we paid off in 9 years. But I’m here because one is never to old to learn. I have a couple pots of stevia on my deck-I find it’s milder and less bitter than store bought. 😘

I used to work at Starbucks. The espresso ice cubes are a cool idea. For cheap iced lattes people would get regular espresso over ice and add the creamer and sweetener from the bar. It would only cost them like $2-3

I started making my own Starbucks like drinks for my daughter when she was in senior high school years ago, I used a $1battery operated whisk(no longer have) or blender ,plus whipped cream and you mix & match, even add chocolate mix, flavored creams you name it.. saved me money and plus made them happy 🤗 recently I've been making sugar-free ones for me.. 😍

I do the coffee ice cubes too! It really makes a difference. I make cold brew in a French press and it's super easy!
@rachelsrendition6 жыл бұрын
Is the French Press time consuming to do?
@bronwenelizabeth6356 жыл бұрын
Rachel McGlothlin Actually making it, no it takes maybe two minutes. It has to sit for a while. I usually let it sit in the fridge for at least 8 hours, more if I remember to do it earlier. I just put the coffee and water in and stir and then let it sit in the fridge over night, then in the morning just put the strainer in and pour! Super easy and cheaper and faster (in the morning) than buying it every day!

Bodum makes an iced coffee French press, I just discovered it, it comes with instructions on how to use it, it's good if you want a French press just for cold brew. Comes in cute colors too.

I make some Cafe bustelo in my moka pot. I have the biggest one they sell so I can prepare multiple cups at once. Then cool it down, place it in a mason jar and I'll have coffe for a few days. I put 2 oz of cold espresso in with an 11 oz Carmel premier protein. No added milk/sugar needed and loaded with 30 g of protein. I don't understand the cold brew hype. I just brew espresso and cool like you. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

I'm lazy too but I set aside my laziness for cold brew 🤣 I think it tastes so much better than hot brewed coffee chilled down. But this is a good tactic with the coffee cubes 👍👍👍
@nicoledwg16 жыл бұрын
Totally agree on the cold press front. It tastes so much better and has less acidity. Just put coffee grounds in a pitcher, fill with water, let steep for 24 hours and then strain out the grounds. (google cold press to find out suggested ratios of coffee:water)

Good morning! Love, love, love the frozen coffee idea. Looking for the silicone ice tray now on Amazon. I really need to start doing this wasted some money on store-bought cold brew and I know better it's so much more economical the way you're doing it. I live in Pennsylvania where it's still fairly chilly so I'm glad to hear Texas is nice and warm I'll be in Corpus Christi the first week of June hahaha! I always look forward to your videos it starts my day off right 😀 have a great weekend!

I'm a goin' with the decaf today...that looks like a big BUZZ ~ I'm goin' for a little BUZZ! Was your ice cube tray from $Tree? It's a nice BIG cube! Looks delicious... Hope You're Stay'in Cool! I found a discount Keurig this week 50% off. Also, I've seen them now at our Goodwill! But they have the hard water scale and IDK what other problems, so that's one thing I've skipped from thrift. I've never had one, I tried one once with the refillable K-cup at work and I made a mess of loose beans...had to clean that up. I've been watching the 'hack' videos, so maybe we'll try it soon for iced coffee? We'll have a lot of joy with it over summer break. Will you have off summer break? I don't think you do. Have an Awesome summer!

@rochellethundercloud3466 жыл бұрын
Sarah, it's easier to make iced coffee this way.freeze coffee.take a container and pour hot coffee inside. Add flavored syrup, creamer and sugar. Dump ice cubes in. Stick in fridge for a few hours, or freeze.

I didn't start drinking coffee until I was 21 years old, and of course it all started with a gingerbread frap at Starbucks. But I guess that actually means I started drinking coffee flavored sugar milk at 21 years old...

Can someone please tell me what coffee creamer is? We don't use it in Australia and I don't understand it's use
@NewZealandRM6 жыл бұрын
Leah Henshall I’m in New Zealand and agree, I don’t know what it is or what an equivalent here might be.
@minicafe8886 жыл бұрын
Leah Henshall Not to sure how to explain creamer but it’s kind of like an accessory to add into the coffee. It can be found as a liquid or powder form. Sugar free or sugar-usually has a flavor to it like Hazelnut, Vanilla, etc. Kind of brings a sweetness to the coffee. We have gazillion versions of it in the U.S. :)
@Natalie_111886 жыл бұрын
Think of it as a flavored half & half. We have it in non dairy versions as well (for example made with soy or almond milk).

It's like adding milk to your coffee but creamer is thicker and comes in many different flavors (as well as plain).
