Nice video. Thank you for respecting Jacob's privacy. You sure light up when you talk about him! I've been watching you for a couple of years. Are you ever going to go back to opening mail? Also, do people still send you money and if, so, what do you do with it or if you apply it to BS3, what will you do with any money gifted to you after BS3? Charity?

I love how you answered the Jacob questions. I will say, you two are just adorable! :) So glad to see how much you're killin' it with BS3... gives us hope as we continue to slog through BS2 for another year! Arg! :)

You are so wise in your thought processes and actions BG! It's great that you recognise things that were weaknesses prior to your debt free journey and you are taking the precautions to make sure these types of things are not sneaking back in. I absolutely totally love that you willing to respect that whether to disclose Jacob's finance details is his decision and that you are willing to be up front with not answering those questions and why rather than just ignoring the question each time it comes up. For various reasons, I think it's a good thing that you and Jacob aren't just jumping quickly into marriage - but my reasons are irrelevant. Your relationship is your relationship and you two need to do what's right for you.

BG, I dated my husband for six years before we got married. I knew I wanted to marry him within three months and we got soooooo many “just get married already!” comments but we didn’t see any reason to rush. Now we’ve been married almost a year and I’m glad we waited!

My husband and I have been together since high school. We dated 8 years before he asked me to marry him. We then waited another 3 years because I had to have a specific date, lol. We got married on our 11 years anniversary. (9.13.13) And have been married 4 years going on 5. I am perfectly happy that it took us so long to get married. I think it made us a better couple. :) So, take your time. Enjoy and learn about each other.

Thank you for answering my question! I spoke with some of my Baptist friends just before the video came out and they confirmed that they don't observe Lent. I am a member of The Church in Wales (Protestant) and I've always followed a Lentern Journey or given something up/taken something on so it was a surprise to learn that this isn't uniform :-D Great Video as usual, we always enjoy the content you produce xx

Hi BG! Thanks for this video. One thing I have never seen you address (or if you have please let me know where I can view it) is how to handle company travel expenses. Sometimes I can have as much as $5000 per month outstanding/out of pocket and I can't pay it until I get reimbursed, which is usually within a week or two, but it's sort of a rolling balance all the time. Do you have any suggestions on how to budget for that? On a personal note, I'm glad you and your bf are taking it slow. There is no reason to rush into marriage at your age. Dating is SO fun, and you can't get it back!

Did your credit score change or disappear after you paid off your loans/all your debt? I wonder about that as someone who is younger and not ready to buy a home and wants to keep renting after becoming debtfree. Would the credit score or lack thereof make it harder to get a new apartment?

Is there anything you would be willing to go back into debt for? I know you don't plan on going back to school but as an example, for most people its ok to take out loans to further their career (bachelors to masters).

Gas....I agree I don't obsess about it and I won't drive to some far away gas station to save so many cents a gallon, that seems counterproductive. I never really understood the people that obsess about going to the cheapest gas station in town. Like you, I just try to get the best price but I don't obsess over gas in any way!

I would say almost no millionaires have cleaners, that's why they're millionaires LOL
@chrisbaker26695 жыл бұрын
Your wrong I know plenty of millionaires that have cleaners. Millionaires value there time highly if you are a millionaire making $200 an hour at your job and you can hire a cleaner to clean your house for 3 hours for a $100 they free up there time to make more money. In that situation they are $500 ahead and have a clean house. Time leverage is a key tactic in getting rich.

Good job answering all those questions, BG. I had to laugh at the end about having family get pushy in the relationship area. I wonder if that's just a southern thing, or if everyone's family is like that. I'm probably the same age as your brother & SIL, but I think you're a very wise young woman. Marriage is a huge step and I think it's always best to take your time getting there! I do have a question, but you don't have to answer if you think it's too personal. This has to do with the cost of your healthcare. Q&A: Are your health benefits fully funded by the college, or do you have to pay part of your monthly premiums? If you've already addressed that in another video, just let me know. I'm curious because, my personal monthly premium is covered by the University, but I have to pay the cost for my husband and it is very expensive. I wondered how well other Universities are doing covering the cost for their employees and their families.
@BudgetGirl6 жыл бұрын
Because I'm single, I'm completely covered. It would cost if i had a spouse or dependent I wanted to add to the policy. I'm co-pay only, no premiums. It's wonderful and I'm very lucky.

Being obsessive about what you buy isn't always a bad idea. It saves you lots of money, stress,and have way less junk cluttering up your life.I once saw a pretty pale pink kate spade purse at unique thrift shop. It was only $1.50 I had the money to pay for it,but knew that I would get no use out of it.It was small, like an evening bag,lovely color,have nothing it's going to work with. So,would need a new wardrobe, just for that bag.
