It was especially cool timing, since I paid off my last debt last week within a day of watching your debt free scream. After about three years of lukewarm efforts to pay off my debt (mostly medical debt and stupid credit card purchases), I decided I needed to kick it in to high gear earlier this year. Wow! You won the landlord/property management lottery! I'm so glad for you! Forced air heating can be a beast on the power bill. My milestones are: a whole year of budgeting and making my money behave, my sinking funds are working paying insurance every 6 months is no sweat when you pay into it monthly, I am cash-flowing dental work and some car maintenance and (hopefully) soon will start BS2 which is basically all student loans. I am so thankful for our YT community, I doubt that I would have stuck to budgeting without them. And whenever I bumped into a wall or couldn't find a solution to something that was frustrating me, there was always someone with a video that helped. Surprisingly, sometimes all I needed to see was how someone wrote a paper budget, real numbers, and "learning moments", I think you call them "fails" 😁 Thanks for sharing your journey. I've definitely spent hours at work binging on BG vids, well the sound parts... 😂 Hard to watch videos while vacuuming and scrubbing toilets, but it definitely kept me motivated and excited when normally my attention span is along the lines of a goldfish. Thank you!

I may have just found your channel a couple of weeks ago, but I feel like I've known you forever...I've been watching all your old videos and it is so fun seeing you so happy and free compared to way back when you were shackled by debt (and isolated in Mena). I was so excited to see your debt free scream and I can't wait to do that myself one day! I paid off my credit cards last year and now I'm starting to work on my student loans, but since they went into default I'm not sure how to handle them now. I used to make weight loss videos on YT back in 2014-2015, but life got in the way. You've inspired me to come back to YT for the support, so I am doing both weight loss videos again and also debt loss videos now. I'm just a couple years older than you, and I wish I had been as smart as you were in my twenties to get my life together earlier. Win for the month: I spent a day in London (I live in Paris) and used cash only. Fail: I messed up on the exchange rate, so I'll be slighly over budget. It still counts as a win, because I stuck to my cash allowance for the day :) I find that changing habits is actually the hardest part of the journey for me. In the same vein, another win: I said no to a 72€ outing with some friends. I wasn't really into the show, and got over my FOMO, and said "go without me, I'm not feeling it, and I can't afford it this month anyway" Off topic, could you do a video on your 5 favorite money books or something like that? I just calculated how long it will take me to pay off my student loans and I'm happy that I can likely have it all paid off by the end of 2018. I just graduated in December and do not have a job yet, but if I have one by April I can be debt free in 2019 and just after my 22nd birthday. It feels so good. If I were to pay off my loan over a 10 year period, I would be paying 24 times the amount of interest. That is insane. If I keep up the same intensity of payments, I can have a decent 6 month Emergency fund after 6-8 more months (Summer 2019).

Money win: I cash flowed my uninsured pregnancy and paid $3000 to the hospital on Wednesday when I delivered my baby. It was nice to have the funds in my account and not have medical debt. (I was uninsured because I got pregnant on my old insurance and pregnancy was considered a "preexisting condition" and my new insurance would not cover it)
