I have been watching a few different channels and it does get confusing!! This video was very helpful!!! In general I like to keep things simple! I watched someone cash stuffing monthly bills and was thinking that is too much for me. 😊❤

I know some people do it- it scares me a little if you are living paycheck to paycheck or get low sometimes. 😬

Right now my envolopes don't have categories. Simply 12 in each binder. I'm going right to left with each paycheck (all the money is for car maintenance anyway). When I get to doing even a little money for other than what I'm using now I'm not planning on doing categories like rent, water, gas, etc. Just have fun playing challenges with savings money. I know what I need that money for: when my mother dies, work on the house, ect. Not current bills!

Always have a car payment if you have a car, always. If your car is payed off, the money goes in a fund for the next car. Tomorrow or next week, next month, another driver can total your car. Plus if have an emergency and need a new fridge or water heater that money could help. More with the envolopes, allow for making changes. Try what you think will work and make changes as you find what will work.

Love the car payment idea, thank you!!! I've never heard this before. This is so relevant!

@@sabner32017 😁😁😁 I think I have seen to few of the cash stuffers mention car funding. I don't want to even try getting an auto loan (probably won't even qualify) so having cash for a new to me car 🚗 when the time comes is the way.

Great video Jenn! I've been doing it for almost a year! I don't think we ever stop learning new tweaks that work for us. I would love to see a video about how to handle a quadro, the difference between a roth IRA, how to begin a cd ladder and tips on investing money. I watch videos not from the budgeting community about these things and just get more confused.

I am really learning so much from following you! Thank you for sharing the process! My father, who lives with the rest of my family in Central Cali, is in in-home hospice care. I will be flying out in Feb. to spend a week with the fam even though I can't really afford to take a week off work. I am budgeting for it as best as I can, but financially I am worried that this decision is a really bad idea. I am hoping that you can make a vlog that speaks to when you have to do the thing, even when the budget screams "no". I am very sure this happens to all of us eventually!

Hey Jenn. I am in between a Bee-ginner and a Worker Bee. We had a few things come up at the beginning of the year that I was thankful to have the funds for but then life happened and I got injured. We are slowly building back up our binders and next year is going to be better.

I think I am between a Bee- ginner and a Worker Bee. I have quite a few envelopes that have hit the goals and have saved us many times. Like the Vet evevelope that was a great help due to an unexpected trip and didn't touch the band card. My system has been working well and I am branching out and ready to create a working plan for 2025. But I still like to review each phase to make sure I am on top of what is working and what doesn't.

For sure- we all do! Remember that we are being marketed to nonstop. By huge companies with an unlimited budget. We are brainwashed - in a way. Once you start to see it- you can’t unsee it. You will start to really see things that you didn’t before. 🐝- Jenn

Hello jen, I have been following 2 sister bee for a while & I love all the videos. I have been struggling with the budgeting & savings, I have no EF or anything ☹️. Is it best to take all the money out of the bank on payday& just leave only the money for bills that you have online??
@2SisterBees2 күн бұрын
That’s what I did. I left bills with what I would consider a nice cushion and took cash out for spending. Decided on specific amounts for certain things and just started. I may do another how to budget video. What other questions would you have. ?

Hi Jen how are you today? I'm still in the like somewhat beginner phase although I've been watching you for a while newbie phase as you say. I have watched your videos about making income extra also cutting back trying to call the companies to ask them to help lower your payments. I'm at a point where I tried that they don't want to help you lower anything anymore. I think because so many people are asking them. I've cut back everything I could cut back on. I'm at the point where it's winter time and I'm not turning my heat on because I can't afford it. To washing my clothes like once a month because I'm trying to fill up the laundry bag as much as possible so I don't have to have so many trips to the laundry. Stop eating out unless somebody else is paying. As I told you before I'm disabled I cannot work. I have no other means of extra income. So what do I do I have no extra to save my bills and credit cards are like I have 20 bills and credit cards together. They're not totally maxed out but the minimum payments are very high for me so I don't know what to do. I don't make enough to cover my living expenses. I'm on SSI and SSD. What SSI I get $77. And on SSD I get $ 914. That's not enough to cover all of my bills together come to I guess $1,215.00. I did completely pay off a loan after 5 years in October 2024. But it seems like even that money is not covering my other bills anymore I don't understand what's going on how that works but it's not working. I did when I first started watching your videos started making the like you said the one binder I did save up a little money in the beginning but I'm now depleting those monies so it's hard for me to try to do any savings. What do I do? Those monies that I did save earlier is what's helping me cover you know the lack of what I don't have to pay all of my bills. But what do I do when that's all gone?

There are certain categories that I use cash for & other categories that are with a debit card. For now, food is on dc b/c that way I can really track WHAT amounts are being spent on food products & ALL of food is together & separate out how much is being spent on dining & groceries in their own category & together. If that makes sense. MOSTLY it’s my sinking funds that are in cash. That way I can’t rob Peter to pay Paul basically. Things like… Christmas, HOA yearly fees, Education (we homeschool), Family birthdays, travel, hockey, etc.
