Budgie Toys AA Jumbo Control Centre Diecast Restoration

In this video I restore a Budie Toys AA cab and trailer to original condition with some minor extra detailing.
It is a wonderful model to restore if you can find one to do. Plus some yellow paint that goes on well.

Great job Andy, when doing the decals I have a thick piece of polystyrene with a V shape cut in the middle, I can then let the model on its side at an angle that way I have both hands free. Again great job.

Hi ya Paul. To be honest I never had any as a kid in the 60s and 70s and I think this is the only one I have. It was a donation from Martin Dare. Never been to West Aus. Been to Melbourne, Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island for the Moto GP 👍 Aussies do great pies👍 among other things.

@@andysgaragediecastrestorations Thanks for the Reply Mate, I do Remember Husky as a Kid back in Manchester, I did have a couple of Vehicles made by them,I am in the middle of convincing my Wife to let me bring my Vehicle Collection in the House,I had to sell off my Huge Railway I started back in'98,Had a stroke and I coulnt move around it any more 15 sq mts in all,but I kept my Vehicles,some old Dinky etc. Armadale.

Great job Andy looks very smart in it's new coat of yellow. nice to see a different casting and brand of manufacture. By the way have now strengthened the mini box you sent me with a lite brown fibre card similar to the type Dinky used back then. Now holds together firmly so I can display the model on top. super entry to the more than 4 challenge 👍

Thank you Ian it was a lovely model to do. I do have a template for the Budgie a box but have to work out how best to make it. I’m thinking print on A3 paper and back with card. Unfortunately as you know I’m time limited at the moment to experiment. I also need to upgrade to Windows 12 for a screen recording on how to do bigger boxes. Cheers my friend 👍
