I have a flock of 7 budgies (and growing) and they have an amazing life thanks to your videos. I worked with a parrot rescue for several years in high school. They are the most abused birds due to misinformation. I have several rescues in my flock and they are coming around so well! Thank you for your videos!

Hi there.. I had a question so recently I bought a parakeet from a PetSmart but I realized I wouldn't be able to care for it properly as I am getting busy with work and would hardly be home. I was wondering if I can surrender it to a Petco that's near by? The PetSmart I bought the bird from is 10 hours away and I don't have the time to make that trip but there is a Petco 2 hours away... Would I be able to surrender it there? I'm hysterical right now and overwhelmed because I feel ashamed I'm giving it back but I do need advice immediately

@@myreechee8050 I don't think you can surrender it to another pet supply chain. The best bet is to try and post ads on Facebook or talk to local animal control. I live in nc now I'm not sure how close you are to me or I'd take them

Thank you so much for your videos! My 3 parakeets demand a piece of romaine lettuce and parsley every day. They like to roll around in the freshly washed greens like they are taking a bath before they chow down on the veggies. I hope they will get more interested in fruit in the future 😊 Thanks again!

Just be careful on all the fruits, they are pretty sugary and I would recommend veggies and veggie chop and maybe throw in some fruits into it

Hi I would be really happy if you replied to me please this is important I have a 4 year old female canary she isn't tamed tho , she layed 3 eggs and I didn't want to touch the eggs at first but then 20 days had passed and they haven't hatched, so I took the matters into my hands and candled the eggs and they didn't have any sight of life and she was still sitting on them should I take her eggs or keep them in her nest ?

@alenaxp do u feed karmeo budgie food also to your budgies? its good na and well balanced in terms of fats and carbs . i also feed this to my budgie because in india many brands are not available only zupreem is available which is full of sugar . but seed mixes like these are almost equivalent to pellets as they have balanced and variety of seeds with vitaminised veggie-fruit pellets. thou you must keep diet mostly of chop and fresh foods with a premium seed mix or pellets

I got my budgie second hand and the former owner said he wouldn't eat fresh fruits and veg. I've tried different things and he did try a little bit of a banana, but that's it. I'm sure he'd be so much healthier if he'd eat different things sometimes.

this is not a diet, from greens, vegetables and fruits, on the contrary, they gain weight a little. if you feed only dry food, then the vitamins will not be enough and the parrot can even die from this at 5 years old.

At first my budgies would not try any of the fruits and veggies I put in their cage. Now they will eat cooked brown rice, lettuce and chopped celery. They take a bite of apple rarely and have been unwilling to eat mango or other fruits, nor brussel sprouts, or amaranth or quinoa. But I won't give up, I will keep experimenting. I do always keep a little chopped alfalfa and dried eucalyptus leaves in a small tray in the cage. Eucalyptus is a favorite for the wild parakeet, and very healing. Alfalfa has every known vitamin and mineral in it, which eases my worries. Some days they eat it up, other days they nibble on it.
