I have a flock of 7 budgies (and growing) and they have an amazing life thanks to your videos. I worked with a parrot rescue for several years in high school. They are the most abused birds due to misinformation. I have several rescues in my flock and they are coming around so well! Thank you for your videos!

Hi there.. I had a question so recently I bought a parakeet from a PetSmart but I realized I wouldn't be able to care for it properly as I am getting busy with work and would hardly be home. I was wondering if I can surrender it to a Petco that's near by? The PetSmart I bought the bird from is 10 hours away and I don't have the time to make that trip but there is a Petco 2 hours away... Would I be able to surrender it there? I'm hysterical right now and overwhelmed because I feel ashamed I'm giving it back but I do need advice immediately

@@myreechee8050 I don't think you can surrender it to another pet supply chain. The best bet is to try and post ads on Facebook or talk to local animal control. I live in nc now I'm not sure how close you are to me or I'd take them

Thank you so much for your videos! My 3 parakeets demand a piece of romaine lettuce and parsley every day. Just be careful on all the fruits, they are pretty sugary and I would recommend veggies and veggie chop and maybe throw in some fruits into it

Dear Alen XP you have inspired me to have budgies I always dreamed of having a pet bird of my own and it came true I went from having two budgies to four budgies to six budgies and now currently I have 17 budgies and thank you for inspiring me to have these wonderful birds they are truly awesome because they have their own personality some behave like doggies some behave like kitties and some behave like bunnies but also parrots remind me more like dragons then actual pet birds because if they evolved from dinosaurs and if they can fly then that could mean that they are dragons I mean their feet looks like dragon because her reptilient it looked and they can fly and dragons have different elements and parrots have different personalities and dragons can be friendly and aggressive and they are omnivores

Hi I would be really happy if you replied to me please this is important I have a 4 year old female canary she isn't tamed tho , she layed 3 eggs and I didn't want to touch the eggs at first but then 20 days had passed and they haven't hatched, so I took the matters into my hands and candled the eggs and they didn't have any sight of life and she was still sitting on them should I take her eggs or keep them in her nest ?

this is not a diet, from greens, vegetables and fruits, on the contrary, they gain weight a little. if you feed only dry food, then the vitamins will not be enough and the parrot can even die from this at 5 years old.

I got my budgie second hand and the former owner said he wouldn't eat fresh fruits and veg. I've tried different things and he did try a little bit of a banana, but that's it. I'm sure he'd be so much healthier if he'd eat different things sometimes.

At first my budgies would not try any of the fruits and veggies I put in their cage. Now they will eat cooked brown rice, lettuce and chopped celery. They take a bite of apple rarely and have been unwilling to eat mango or other fruits, nor brussel sprouts, or amaranth or quinoa. But I won't give up, I will keep experimenting. I do always keep a little chopped alfalfa and dried eucalyptus leaves in a small tray in the cage. Eucalyptus is a favorite for the wild parakeet, and very healing. Alfalfa has every known vitamin and mineral in it, which eases my worries. Some days they eat it up, other days they nibble on it.
