From a malnourished infant found in a chicken cage to a strong, confident orangutan ready to return to his natural home in the rainforest. Budi’s remarkable transformation over the years would not have been possible if it wasn’t for your incredible support and the vital work of the BKSDA and our partners, YIARI.
Oh… and in case you have NO CLUE what’s going on. BUDI HAS BEEN RELEASED! We uploaded his release video yesterday, make sure you check it out! He was released by the West Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Office (BKSDA), together with the Bukit Baka Bukit Raya National Park Authority (TNBBBR), supported by YIARI.

It's sad to think that we will likely never see Budi again as he disappears into the forest and his new life, but it's also satisfying to see how far he came from the brink of death as an infant to being a healthy young adult on his own.
