I appreciate your curiosity cause I would be too, but... The sheer fact that I have to try to explain it to morons who obviously can't read almost on a daily basis. It's quite frankly ruining and tainting my memory of the experience. So if school hasn't failed you and you're not a moron, maybe you should look in the earliest comments and responses, and you will have your answers..... Thank you, and have a wonderful life. For me, there is no doubt that animals have emotions. They know love and grief. I had two cats, Toby and Teddy, that were brothers and it seemed to me that they loved each other, always curling up together, sleeping together and licking each others heads, playing, etc. When Toby died I put him in a box and covered him with a towel before burying him. I wanted Teddy to know his brother had died so he would not wonder and look for him later, so I put him by Toby's box. Teddy sniffed a bit, then climbed into the box and laid on top of his dead brother while he made weak, coarse meows for an hour. It was an eerie sound I had never heard before. When I couldn't take it any more I went to take Teddy out of the box. He hissed at me. In 19 years Teddy had never once hissed, even when I gave him a bath or he got shots at the vet. I cried because I knew the meows and hissing were Teddies cries for his brother. I cried more for Teddy's loss than I did for my own. He eventually came to sit in my lap, and was especially insistent on hugs, and excessively licked my face and hands. He did not eat for two days. He would sometimes sit very still and make those same eerie sounds before going to sleep. If that is not grief, I don't know what is. Eventually Teddy returned to being himself. He died two years later and was buried next to his brother Toby, separated only by a bag of cat treats and a fuzzy mouse.

@yuunpaan5803 жыл бұрын
@@molamolamola5588 Simple things such as seeing an apple and being able to make the sign for 'apple' do not constitute an understanding of communicating through language. She is not capable of making a string of signs that forms the sentence "I like apples because they are juicy and crunchy." Unless she is specifically taught how to do that, even if you taught her each individual sign to form that sentence she would not know how to put them together, because she simply knows what sign correlates to what cue. She can not communicate with our language. The signs are simply like a dog learning "sit" for a treat, there is nothing more to this.

Many of us seem to forget that people are ‘animals’, too. Our existence is just more complicated with modern creations, but our raw, simple emotions aren’t any more sophisticated than other animals. Yes, we have complicated lives with work and entertainment, but don’t the so-called ‘lower’ animals lead complicated lives, too? Every day they must struggle for survival, hunt for their food, protect their young, build nests to shelter in, and imagine how critical every single choice is that they make. Surely it is miraculous that these other animals continue to survive despite our ‘intervention’ in their world, not because of it. The purity of their existence is enviable in many ways, and their intelligence is staggering.
