Mr. Do it yourself Do you know the diameter of the shaft where the shifter lever (10mm or 12mm) I need to replace the shifter lever Thank you very much for all you videos

It's closer to the 12mm... I don't think it's metric measurement but it's definitely the bigger out of the two you mentioned...thank you so much for your support and please subscribe it will really help me out ☺️

By chance do you know how the shaft collar and lever work together my lever is spinning even tho I tighten it
@DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs2 жыл бұрын
You will have to replace your lever because the lever is aluminum and it's worn out the shaft will be always okay... if you cannot locate one easily you can temporary use one from a Sportster ...little different shape but it'll get you going. Thank you for watching the video and please subscribe to help me out

Hi where did you bought the chain tensioner and which is the proper name of the piece, to find it on the web?
@DoityourselfMotorcyclerepairs5 жыл бұрын
I found whole outer cover with the tensioner in it used on eBay...some parts are getting hard to find for these...you got the name right...primary chain tensioner. If you can't find it new...look for used on the web. Thanks for your interest and please subscribe to help me out

I just replaced the tensioner but knowing it's made of plastic makes me think it'll break again... Anyone knows if we can just adjust the chain and get rid of the tensioner instead?
